  1. Hello scruffyduck,

The only easy method that I use is to edit (with a text editor) the ISEC.TXT file found in the MODULES\FSNavigator\Bin directory

You can add to this file, provided you adhere strictly to the format, and provided you insert the line in the correct order.

It starts at 90North and 001E at the top, and goes down South and Eastwards. Southern latitudes are negative and Western Longitudes are also negative.

As an example the isec point 'SAND' just west of Bermuda at:-

    30deg 27.30' North

    065deg 04.09' West

is listed in the ISEC file as

    MOFFY 29.383333 -65.083333 15

    SAND 32.454972 -65.068231 15

    2866N 28.000000 -66.000000 15

the 15 is the magnetic variation (fixed).

These points will show up on the FSNav map provided you have the ISEC button on. You can therefore insert as an example

    SCRUF 32.554972 -65.098231 15

Which would show on the FSNav map just North and West of SAND.

One word of warning - backup your original ISEC.txt file :)

  2. Fleurenf's method for updating sids/stars is correct, so long as the files are actually being updated.

I have regularly downloaded the update file only to find that there are NO new entries.

However because the *.ss files do not have a date stamp (an internal date stamp) it is impossible to tell if they are being updated or not.

However, I have just completed an update and indeed downloaded at least 18 airports ! :o Can we assume that these files are being updated ?

The only way to find out, is for someone who has UPLOADED any SID/STAR files in the last 5 months to post here and let us know if these updates have been included.

Could be a nice Christmas pressent if they have :?

    Cheers now

  3. Hi Gary,

Whilst I'm not familiar with the PIC EMB145, I think that it uses its own autopilot, (please correct me if I'm wrong :) ) and that this interface may well intercept the data to the FSNAV module, so it cannot see any FS parameters (speed, heading and altitude), only the position of the a/c.

Do you have a registered copy of FSUIPC ?. There MIGHT be a few tweaks in there that may help.

I'll look into this and will post back if I find anything usefull.

As a last course of action you could try a re-install of FSNav ?? :?

    HTH - a bit.

  4. Hello Martin,

    Sorry for the late reply.

Did the lack of airport info, including the ILS etc, happen after you installed any SimFlyer scenery ?

I'm not sure, but possibly FSNav has an issue with this scenery.

One way round this (assuming of course that your original scenery had the correct details) is to uninstall the scenery, run the DBC program, the original info will be restored, and re-install the new scenery 'without' running the FSNav DBC.

If however there are added Navigational aids in the new scenery then they will not be updated I'm afraid. :?

    I'll look into this a bit further . . . . . but don't hold your breath !

    HTH

    Rob
