[Sim Physics High CPU Load - 2]

Hi Morten.

1-2 customers had previously installed Sim Physics X in the main FSX directory (Not even on a subfolder) which of course if forbidden. Installing on a correct location solved the problem.

Also some others despite having another 3D Cockpit head moving software installed (i.e. Opus, Ezdok, Track IR, Accufeel , etc) hadn't manipulate the settings of either application to chose one for the Head movement. As result.. yes horrible shuttering and high CPU loads were observed. That is natural because FSX can handle one "move the head" on that direction at a time. Not two, nor three...

Contacting customer support , at http://support.thefsps.com , all customers had their FSX run not even 1 Frame /s drop nor a high cpu load...

Maybe a bit drastic to lock a subject, before things are solved...?!

In the habit of not wanting to stress support departments too much, I usually tend to look for similar problems in a forum before I contact the customer support.

But soon I will contact you, of course - But right now I'm just happy and celebrating that everything is back to normal with some long and wonderful flights!

However, none of those wrong installation issues you mention above is relevant in my case. So indeed still a mystery whatever happened during the update to the present Psychics version..

After the latest update, I also experience strange framerate flickering, spanning back and forth from 24 and down to destructive 2 fps within a period of 5-10 seconds - all takes place only when the airplane is moving, with horrible stutter until everything finally freezes totally and crash onto desktop!

I was checking the forum only because of this problem and I see now that I'm not alone. I think I'll then have to uninstall Physics until a patch is made, so I will be able to fly again.

Hi there

Do I need to run the Database Manager for each and every FTX Central level, Default, Oceania, North America and Europe?

For instance, if I install a new airport in the FTX Oceania area and have this area enabled in the FTX Central, should I then go through a dedicated Database run according to this area, or does the Database Manager automatically register ALL levels regardless of any particular area settings in the FTX Central?
