Your response is the first new entry since 8 August...just wondering...
-
Have not seen any posting in the forum for a while, it something happening or it is on my end?
-
No doubt in my mind that I am experiencing a senior moment (78 soon). Thought I had downloaded and installed FSC9.7 but in the meantime also updated to Windows 10.
Now I find that when opening FSC it shows as version 9.6.7. Not that anything is wrong with that because the program performs as advertised. Nonetheless, would
like to stay up to date with the latest version, i.e.,V 9.7. However cannot find it to download, again, in the website www.fscommander.com.
A senior moment or something else that i fail to understand?

Thanks, Volker. My fault, was misreading the sc96upgrade zip file as an upgrade from 9.5 to 9.6.

Hi Volker.
"FSC Version 6, Rev 6...what am I missing?
Am showing Version 9.6 Rev 1, Build 03 Mar 2015.Hi ???,
===
And what do you get when you follow the link?
Volker"
Do I need to have the Lockheed Martin Prepare3D installed to get to that version?
The FSC splash screen only showing V9.6 Rev 1.

Please disregard my post. FSC in FS9 is working correctly and the FS Commander check mark in the Save screen is also in red color. Assume that is by default.
While I installed FSUIPC to run as administrator i don't recall doing the same for FSC in FS9 and is working fine. For that reason I am hesitating to uninstall and reinstall FSC. The reinstall may create issues in FS9. Please advise.
Btw, the installed FSUIPC4 version in FSX is the latest...FSUIPC4.934.

Q: Have noticed that on the right option box of the SAVE window - FS Commander, Radar Contact, SqawkBox, IVAO, etc...
The IVAO, XML and Flihgt Simulator X boxes all have "green" check marks. Only the FS Commander check mark is "red".
Is the "red" check mark in the FS Commander box nornal by default?
Questioning because sometimes have difficulties opening the saved FSC flights in FSX unless the specific flight has been
previously loaded and saved in FSX.

Thanks, Volker.
Any chance of adding this to your "to look at or to do list" in future revisions? That is, being able to reduce the size of the window. There is a lot of good information on that window but its size is a little too much even on my 4 display configuration. Am running the recommended resolutions in all 4 displays with the display dedicated to
FSC set at 1680x1050x32.

Any takers on this?
Let me add: FSC9.5.1, AIRAC 1405 Rev 1, FS9, Windows 7 Ultimate, dual NVidia GTX560s-4 display configuration, home build system.
Thanks in advance.

Am sure this has been asked before but my searches have failed to find an answer.
Is there anyway to change the size of the "Navigation Data" window?
Thanks in advance.
-
Your "basic question", and future ones, can best be resolved by yourself by downloading, reading, and following the manual.

Try running Google Earth in DirectX mode. Go to All Programs/Google Earth/Start on Google Earth in DirectX Mode.
Hope that helps, it did for me.

There is no need to "uninstall and re-install" to change the path settings. You can navigate to the program(s) location through the "Paths" folder in the "Save/Load Flight Plan".

Ramon: Using your flight plan and deleting the waypoints between PIGOS and LFPG, the FSC Flight Planner calculates the distance at 380NM.
Start the subsonic flight 50NM (distance provided by the GPS) from PIGOS and the total distance to LFPG should be 430NM, as the crow flies. This may not be what you are after, just trying to help. Best regards, Jesus

If I understand the question, couldn't these "points" simple be included in a flight plan that calculates the distances between them. The measuring tool probably shows the distance between point A and B while the flight plan will show the distances between all included therein. It all depends in what the need for the information is; calculating fuel loads, speed or time?

Volker/Ian P: Best I can recall, it has always worked that way in FSC8.x with FS9 and Windows XP.

Paul: After downloading the weather, did you click on any of the weather stations shown in the map?
Not clear in your posting whether you did or not.

Please disregard...took awhile to download but managed to do it.

Is there a prblem with the download link for the zip file?

Thanks, Mr Heine:
In early versions I had it on by default but memory lapses are now catching up with me.
As always, appreciate your prompt response.

Q: What parameter controls the "GPS - Connect to FS" and where is located - FSC.ini file?
Trying to find out if there is a parameter that can be changed so the "Connect to FS" remains checked,
always active by default, whenever FSC9.2 is started.

Not an authority on this but noticed that the FSCDbManager.exe file size, 312kb, and date, 9/19/2011, remained the same.
Had to update the aforementioned URL's manually but other than that FSC9.1.1 is working as advertized.

Txs for the prompt reply.
My point was that the URL's in the INI file were not self updated as the "readme txt" implies.
I have no problems updating manually.
Have a good day!
