Very odd still. I have no power management tab on my USB drivers Properties tab. Put in 3.997c, had 3.98. I find now that Pitch2 will only work if after fs9 up, I open Modules, click on any tab then close it works! Doc

Hello Pete! Odd thing since I just reinstalled my FS9 and addons with my registered FSUIPC 3.something purchased 5 yrs ago onto my new i5 quad core PC last week. Every time I start up fs9 my proppitch2 on my CH prods throttle quadrant doesn't work. I have to go into FSUIPC, rescan for joysticks, move proppitch2 lever, (it does appear to be assigned and numbers change when I move the lever) un tick it, close FSUIPC, then reopen it, rescan, and then tick and assign the right prop lever proppitch2. Then it works until I shutdown and restart fs9. I have unassigned all joysticks under FS9 joystick assignments as before. I don't believe I am doing anything differently than the old pc that always seemed to save the assignments. I keep the single prop lever on the CH flight sim yoke pulled down as it is assigned as a separate axis. Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks, Doc

I upgraded FSUIPC from 3.7 to 3.98 this morning. I downloaded and installed the v 3.98, at end of install clicked to ck my registration. It seems to have installed and be fully functional. Says it is 3.98 in the modules folder. I thought I read somewhere on the schiratti page something about the keys for the older versions not working for the latest ones. Just wanted to be sure fully functional for me. Having a problem with PMDG 737 series causing crash to desktop when I select any of those planes, support from PMDG suggested I download and try v 3.98 but unfortunately get the same crash. Hi Pete! Just bought both FSUIPC4 and WideFS 6. got my product keys from SimMarket. Installed FSUIPC with installer and when I cut and paste in the product key when prompted it won't take it? and I have to cancel. Do I have to wait a while for it to work? I bought the bundle. Thank you! Robert

Ahhh, didn't know that, my son just copied wideserver.dll and wideserver.ini into the modules folder for FSX, I understand then, just delete wideserver.dll and the wideserver.ini file from the modules folder? Thanks again! Take care Pete.

Last night I noticed that the wideserver.ini file in FSX Modules had nothing in it except Port=8002under [Config], I copied and pasted the rest of the file under Port=8002 from the FS2004 wideserver.ini file and voila it works!

Forgot about the ServerIpAddr setting, will try that. If no joy will send the logs and configs! Thanks again..

Hello again, now I am really puzzled. Both computers on same subnet. Separate IP's, each computer can ping the other, 4 sent/4 received, still unable to get FsX to connect to widefs? FSINN1.2 runs fine on "server" (actually the client pc). Added the line [ClientNames] then 1=server to wideserver.ini and servername=main to Config in widefs.ini also. Won't work either with FS2004 installed on Main with FSUIPC 3.7.. No firewalls. Thanks again..

Both computers show up under network places in explorer, will check on IP's, the other night they were both on the same subnet and same workgroup, MSHOME.

I checked and think there is a windows problem on the main pc, both have XP home yet after I set up my home network, they both have separate IP's, but only the small one "sees" the main, under network places on the main pc nothing shows up, will reformat and reload windows soon and request help if I still can';t get it!

Hello Pete, I have a new internet connection here without a router just a hub. I have my main pc with fs9, fsuipc3.7, on it and my laptop with widefs 6.7 and my garmin gauges I run on it. I set up a home network using windows xp wizard, named one pc main, the other client. I see both computers on my network. When I get FS9 running on the main PC, and then click on wideclient on the laptop it won't connect, says waiting for a connection. The main keeps saying waiting for clients. I put a Config line in the wide fs config file saying ServerName=main as suggested. Because of no router both pc's have the same IP?? Is this the problem, I used to have a router for the two pc's and it worked fine. Thank you.

Thanks Pete, I was just hoping maybe you had run into this in the myriad of things that seem to be run by you, I have uninstalled and reinstalled it so many times without a flaw it baffles me. Must be something changed in the XP registry on the laptop that isn't getting cleaned out with the uninstall program that is hanging it up, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the same two programs on another laptop I have and it works! Hello Pete, I have been using FSGarmin430 and FSGarmin530 on my remote laptop for years, initially with FS2002 and now with FS9. Periodically I update the Garmin430 Trainer program with the latest downloadable Trainer from the Garmin 430 website to update the NavData database with no problems. I also run the two programs on the main FS PC. Last night I updated the GarminGNS430 Trainer on both the main PC and laptop, without FS or WideFS running and now the Garmin430 on the main PC runs the 430 from the Modules menu fine but I can't get the 430 on my laptop to run, it just loads with a snowy non changing screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the FSGarmin430 and Garmin Trainer in all kinds of order including uninstalling both, defraging the hard drive, run Crap cleaner, restart and reload first the Trainer then FSGarmin430 and the same thing! I also have FSGarmin530 on the laptop and it still runs fine. See enclosed pic. I saw your name in some of the documents for FSGarmin430 and hoped you might have some idea what may have happened and how I may get my beloved GNS430 ( which is in my private plane ) up and running on the remote laptop. FSUIPC and WideFS are the recent .7 versions. I have read through and through the FSGarmin430 help file. Thank you so much. Doc

Unfortunately ran out of sockets! FS doesn't recognize it either though it does show up as a controller under Control Panel/Game Controllers. I haven't used the joystick in a while and it used to work in the Yoke socket but I have long forgotten the setup scenarios and it was at least last year. Will fool around with it. I remember reading somewhere that sometimes once a HID is assigned to a socket it doesn't like anything else in there. I did try using the FSUIPC axes assignments and ticked to use FSUIPC to calibrate but no luck. Thanks.

Using FSUIPC 3.60 for a while and using it to program axes and buttons for my CH USB Yoke and Pedals with no problems. When I disconnect the Flight Sim Yoke from its slot and plug in my Microsoft Sidewinder Joystick, I only get rudder input from the pedals and nothing but throttle from the Joystick. I try to calibrate and assign axes with FSUIPC and it doesn't seem to recognize that the joystick is plugged in, I get no change in the parameters for ailerons or elevator, just throttle. If I unplug it and replug in the Yoke, everything works. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
