  1. Its been while since i have used the erj feel there products

I cant find a reference on how to hide the pilot yoke in the vc cabin.

I also cannot seem to find a click spot on the yoke  to get rid of it which is covering most of the  pfd

Can someone advise or point me to a reference

    Peter

  2. HI Pete

I am not sure exactly where to get the windows crash log ( maybe you can point me to it  , using w7 ).... but i can report the following

I installed the later version 4.947

after removing  the fsuipc files from the modules folder

I was then able to fly with p3d v3 for about 25 mins without a crash

    a36 and mooney

I then shut down the sim and restarted

I flew for a while 10 min and then i went into the fsuipc program and did one simple thing

I checked under "clouds" allow "changes to fs wx program " .... maybe not the exact working but you know what i mean

I unpaused the sim and it crashed in 10 seconds

I restarted the sim and then it would crash in about 10 seconds

( generally i click on something and it crashes the sim )

I went back an unchecked the wx setting and it did not crash again

I was not sure if this was an actual issue so i uninstalled the fsuipc program reinstalled and went through it all again with exactly the same result

    Maybe this helps

    Here is the log

  3. The only other reports of crashes on loading have all turned out to be bad installations of P3D, especially ones which have been altered by migration tools. But I cannot guess anything. I need to see the FSUIPC4.LOG after such a crash, and the Windows crash data. It may even be a bad joystick driver.

You don't need to "run a log". FSUIPC always automatically makes a Log when it runs. And don't try sending anything. You'll need to paste the text into a message.

Pete here is the info requested... let me know if this is helpful or if you need to me to get additional info

I actually thought i had it working last night . I uninstalled and reinstalled the most recent v. of fsuipc

I ran for while and then i shut it off

I restarted p-v3 this morning and it crashed with the stock mooney acclaim

Here is the info i was able to extract from the log and windows error report

les that help describe the problem:

  4. No ideas at all because there's no information here.

Is a Log produced? If so I need to see it. At what exact stage does it crash -- i.e. what is on the screen? What is the actual version number of FSUIPC (I always need this)? And please show me the Windows crash details from the Windows event viewer.

Also it might help to have a list of other add-ons you are running at the same time. It may be some clash. Have you tried stopping everything else BUT FSUIPC, just to be sure?

    Pete

Ok .. thanks for the guidance. Ill round up some info and report back

what i can tell you so far is that im running FSUIPC4 4.946

    I am running w7 x64 p3d v3

I have no add ons as of yet , stock p3dv3

I was waiting for fsuipc to be compatible with this p3d version

P3d v3 starts, I get the splash screen). I load a stock aircraft.

I experimented with different airports, aircraft , scenarios .. same result every time per below ( tried about 10 scenarios )

The program bar at the top immediatly after load goes to " not responding "

The in a about 5 sec's goes to  " stopped due to a fatal error "

I removed the fsuipc dll and associated files in the modules folder, restarted and the program worked again with not further crashes.

I will run a log and send it.

    Thank you

    Pete

  5. I installed the latest build from Pete D  ( oct 4 )of fsuipc and my p3d v3 is crashing giving me a fatal error every time I start the program and load a flying "free flight "session

I get a " not responding " then a crash then a fatal error message

I deleted the fsuipc and all associated fsuipc files and the sim works again without crashing

    Any ideas ???

    my machine   w7x64 p3d  v3.0 ( fully licensed fsuipc)

    Peter

  6. Your correct, rc4 has a table you can edit for frequencies at each airport and so you can edit them if they are create incorrectly from makerunways etc.or if they change over time. You mentioned rc5 but i have not seen an update on its release for over a year. Last info was JD's blog blog of sept 09

I really only wanted to understand if there was some relationship between the frequency format that rc4 and fsuipc might use. . it was really a long shot as i like to try to understand what is going on between the various programs

    Thanks again for your help

    Pete

  7. Really? RC has all its frequencies in its data files. MakeRunways generates these from your scenery, but I'm not sure offhand whether RC version 4 uses the frequency files it generates or not -- I know the future RC version 5 does, but I think RCV4 pre-dates that facility in MakeRunways. Probably it's frequency data is simply a little out of date. How do you define the "wrong frequency" in any case? When you look at the charts for airports there are so many alternatives for many of the ATC facilities that it could choose one which isn't included in the FS scenery data. It shouldn't matter provided you tune the one in you are told to, as in real life.

These days aircraft are equipped for closer spacing with their radios, and many control areas are using these new frequencies, but FS does not support the new spacing. The three digits in the true frequency for the old spacing are always abbreviated to two digits for FS as it's radios only accommodate such. So .x25 becomes .x2 and .x75 becomes .x7.

Both RC's files and those generated by MakeRunways are in plain text (actually comma-separated-variable (CSV) format, so displayable in tabular form by Excel), so you can always check them yourself and edit where you wish.

    Regards

    Pete

  8. Thanks Peter

I thought i recalled that setting, thank god my memory is still working a little bit!

What I was trying to was see if there was some relationship between rc4.3 radio frequency selection and fsuipc. in fsx 4.6

Quite often rc4.3 will select the wrong frequency and i thought maybe i had the frequency pushed to xxx.xxx ( ie 3 digits after the decimal) hence not selecting the correct frequency.

Regardless this appears unrelated and nothing to do with fsuipc , and thanks for the response

    Regards Peter

  9. FS Commander GPS windows

I have been using fs commander for a long time and really enjoy it but somewhere in the past week I lost the ability to bring up the gps little window

I check the gps window command from the menu bar and i get nothing.

The program seems to be working perfectly except for this.

Is there some setting that would turn it off?

It is not hidden under some other window!

I uninstalled fscommander and reinstalled and still no gps.

    Thoughts.

  10. Hi Pete

    Thanks for the quick reply

What I meant was that I checked the box in fsuipc that makes the letters white in the scrolling toolbar. I think is under the misc tab

Regardless, Ill try to reinstall the video driver. I posted here because the actual fsx aircraft text seems ok. ( such as the text in the gauges, atc etc). So I just deduced that it might have something to do with fsuipc or an add-on.

I"ll try the video driver reinstall , that might be the best choice.

    Best to you regards Peter

  11. Hi Pete

    Im having a new problem

    Ive never seen this before.

My text is clipped and jumbled . This is the text that shows up in the scrolling display.

The actual msfsx aircraft and radio fonts seem fine.

Also The date text i.e ctl-z text is also not clear ( frame rates info and data)

I have not made and changes to my set up in a while, except I did update fsuipc recently to the latest version

I tried changing the text to white via fsuipc but I still cant really read it

I have made no other changes to my w7 x64 base setup for a long time either.

I dont know what has changed.

I see that there have been posts about similar issues but not exactly this issue

    Thoughts??

    Pete

    fsx sp1 and accel.

  14. Peter

Thank you for the prompt reply

I am off to work so I will have to send you the requested info later today however I can tell give you a bit more info

    Firstly,

Yes the entry in the tool bar is missing. I looked at the dll.xml file and the entry is somehow missing. I must have installed something recently that messed that up.

Secondly , I deleted every instance of fsuipc on the computer . ( perhaps silly of me!) but before i did that i reviewed the log of fsuipc and my information was present but i did not check the last access date.

Thirdly , When i reinstalled fsuipc, everything seemed to be going well but the installer would try to go to my c: drive and not my fsx installation which lives on my d: drive.

I could not determine how to point the program to my d: drive. The installation script gives errors that is cant find fsx in the c:\fsx.......

Your product has always been so well designed that ive never had any of these issues on installation before. Is there some simple way for me to tell the program where my fsx installation is living.

Thanks you again and i will send you my info later

    Have a good day

  15. Ive been using fsuipc for ages, i have registered versions of fsuipc and widefs

    Im running fsx sp2 accel

im running w7 64 and the program was working perfectly until a day ago at which point it disappeared

I have downloaded the most recent fsuipc 4 becuase for some reason fsuipc has disappeared from my tool bar

I try to reinstall but it gives me some error about msinternet explorer perhpas blocking the signature

Firstly where did the program go. I can see fsuipc in the modules folder. I look in the fsuipc.ini file and i can see my name , lic etc.

Ive never had a problem but something has gone wrong and i cant reinstall.

    Thoughts?

  16. I have been using fsnavigator for a long time and i think it is a great program. recently ( the past week ) i have been having ctd's every time i run fsnav. I have consistently crashed about half way though a flight . The only thing running is fs9.1 and fsnav.

I would like to do a complete uninstall, rerun my database and start again. How do i do a complete uninstall? and remove all of the registry scenery db etc,

or can i just reinstall, do i start with the old program and install updates etc.

    Thank you in advance

    Peter

  17. Pete

I am still running 9.1 as well as fsx. so this is a 9.1 question

I am having trouble with the loading traffic dialogue. I use mytraffic 2006 and what is happening is that i am getting the "loading traffic diaologue endlessly" , fs presents a blue screen and the dialogue box ( itr happens at about 5 minutes intervals . Not very good for critical flight moments.

The folks at mytraffic 2006 suggest that I check with you to see if anything in fsuipc 3.7 would cause this. The mentioned that sometimes reload of winds ( or wind changes) can cause this. I have the fs wx set to real weather. and I turn off and clear wx in fsuipc.

Not sure if this is clear, but Im sure you would have some thoughts /ideas?

    regards peter
