two simple questions
1, sometimes as i fly a flight plan i notice i hear an audible signal as i pass over a fix and then the nav1 button will automatically release sending the plane way off course.
Is there a setting to ensure that does not happen.
and
2. I use fsnav with vatsim and at times control will give me a new routing, and altitude and routing,
what is the easiest way to chage this while in flight, so far i notice that the alt's and flight plan route seem to be locked in. what is the easiest way to make changes on the fly,, ( no pun intended!)
thank you very much in advance

What you may need to do is make sure that the flightplan you've created is activated. What I tend to do is when I approach the runway, I do a Shift-F9 to activate the plan. I take off and fly the departure by hand until told to climb to my cruse altitude. From there, I activate the AP in the panel, and then the plane follows the plan I filed.
Give that a try.

do you mean activate fs via the fly flight plan and ap in fsnav panel.
That's exactly what I mean.. but get airborne before doing it.
so I tried that and the aircraft just went in a straight line AWAY from the flight plan route. i tried it with a 172 and a 737 and got the same result... very strange,,, it cant be this complicated , i must be missing something simple. One thing for sure I am not using the fd or ap in fs , just allowing the " fly flight plan" and "ap" in fsnav run the flight".. ??????????

Im sure this has been addressed here many times, but i cannot find my exact scenario
How do i use the fly fp and ap correctly. The reality is that i follow the tutorial and it seems to work then in a few minutes it does not follow the plan
It should be really easy but i maust be missing somthing
I engage the fly ap and then when wheels up i push the fsnav ap button, I expect the program to fly the aircraft. I know i have to apply power but do i have to enage the fsnav hd or nav buttons. what happens is that when i push the ap button, nothing happens and the aircraft just does whatever it wants and sometimes dives.
what am i missing??

Hi all
i think all of the below are true statements from what I can determine.
1. you cannot import a fs flight plan into fsnavigator
2. you can import a fsnavigator flight plan into fs
( do you need a special utility for this becuase the file extension is different in fsnavigatot vs. fs 9.1
I ahve s many .pln files and i am not sure if they can be used with fsnavigator

fsuipc
I am have numerous crashes using fs with a number of add ons but one thing i notice is that I dont see anywhere that fsuipc supports airnavfs live traffic. ?? Also what happens when you turn off fsuipc weather, will a third part wx program take over , ( or must I just clear the wx in the fsuipc) and then run the third party app.??
Lastly are there any other features in the registered version of fsuipc vs non reg that might effect my programs.
fs9.1
airnav fs live
fsuipc
fdc
weather-maker
flight environment
pheonix dash 8 qtip software
im trying to run them all at once

So i reall appreciate all of the help. and finally got this working, I have one other situation now that someone may have seen before.
When flying a flight planned route , the ap "nav1" on fs navigator will turn itself off, how can you prevent that. . Has anyone seen that before.
thank you
