@FeelThere Arieli found a way to tell. the add remove function tells u what SP u have. so i have SP3. just none of the MCP lights work. do you guys ever plan on making a SP4 to address issues and bring it to v5.x?  or maybe make a new version?

The MCP should not have any working lights. This is how's the real thing is.

    Hi JAvier,

At this time we are discussing these displays and their custom configs. Please stay tuned (and sign up to our newsletter) for more information.
Folks, we are keep asking (especially European Folks) to sign up to our newsletter because of GDPR we can't get you any information without signing up even if you purchased something from us. For the rest of the world we can send out discounts (for example right now we are having a sale on the website), information about updates, but EU customers we can't without actually signing up.

    Thank you

@FeelThere_Vic Thanks Vic. I definitely appreciate the customization features, very intriguing. Would I be correct in assuming these configuration files would be shareable? In a attempt to somewhat guess to what is going on, does the “editor” screenshot match up with the last strip screenshot you shared? Additionally, for a person who prefers multiplayer, is the vision for the strips to be at a facility level (which the screenshots imply) or at an individual controller or position level?

While I wait for your answers, I am going to look up the RGB values for hot pink. My strips are gonna rock!

    @crbascottThank you.
Yes, the files are csv files so you can drop them to any airport folders. Legally and technically too, they will be shareable.
You are right, as far as I remember the setting is a screenshot of that last strip's setup so you can see how it was done.
We are not there yet to have a definite answer about multiplayer, but I would assume it would be on the individual level. It would be a logical way, but maybe it will cause some problem that I can't think of now, so it's not a promise.
I believe the next blog will discuss the terminal and schedule config files so I hope that will make everyone happy 🙂

  4. Dear Folks,

First of all sorry for the delay. We added unplanned functions and we got hit by Covid as well. Luckily all members who got it were vaccinated so the symptoms were mild.

PLEASE DISREGARD THE OUTSIDE VIEW, IT'S OUR TESTING SCENERY WITHOUT WATER.

At this time I would like to talk about the screens. image_2022_01_27T12_35_31_011Z.thumb.png.873aecb9d8aa52d15abf1c3d7be9323a.png

We got many request about runway configuration, so the user can assign specific runways for example heavy jets. We went a little bit further. More..

  5. Thank you so much.

This week we plan to give you some look of the electronic flight strip and how much it would be customisable. We are not talking about just colors, but instead you will be able to set up columns, automate actions (instead of manually dragging it, which you still can, you can just click on the GO button and it will move the strip to a pre-defined position) and save all these setups for each airport. If everything goes as planned we will also show the new ground radar as well.

@FeelThere_Vic Not announcing a release date until it is definite makes sense to me. But where would you say you are: in early, mid or late stages of development? A rough estimate would be great so that the potential buyer gets a general idea if it's more like 6 months or 6 years until release.
It would be helpful since there is virtually no information coming from you and the sporadic blogposts are not very substantial so far. This makes it quite challenging to maintain interest in the project over a longer period of time.

Sorry for the late answer, I was (in fact I'm) on sick leave. I never been in the past 9 years so this is a new and pretty disappointing experience 🙂

Back to your question. Until summer we worked on most of the visual aspect of the game and now it's more about the new commands, etc. It's very difficult at this stage to predict even the month of the release. Just to give you an example; we thought we locked the editors last spring. However we noticed one step (creating realistic terrain) took us weeks of hard work with a result we weren't too happy with. So our programmer suggested something that we check right now that would reduce this step to a couple of hours while providing a much more realistic look. The programming will take a few weeks and our artists need to create new materials as well. This single task the the schedule off by a few weeks. If we would be under a deadline pressure we would've voted against it. Now we had the freedom to add this (or at least try to add) feature which will benefit everyone in the future trying to create airports for T!S3.
So if we would say we plan to release it in Qx or Qx then we would either create an unnecessary pressure that would force us to take shortcuts or if we would miss the projected deadline I'm sure you've seen those "you told us", "you promised us", etc comments.

I fully understand your point but at this time this is all I can say. However we are planning to leak some information about what will be customisable in T!S3.

    Thank you

  7. Thank you so much for the interest. In the past few months we worked on things that aren't visual, difficult to show anything new. Please trust me we will show you something new as soon as we can (as a matter of fact sometimes I sneak out information that I'm not supposed to against the will of the team 😉 ).

@feistymartini Unfortunately FeelThere released old versions of the airports without providing any editing/tools. KLAX appears to be circa-2010 and KPHL is even older.

@Braf123456’s comment is slightly inaccurate. I can only think of one airport (KJFK) where they actually added new taxiways after the initial release.

Lesson learned, the new version will have all kind of tools to modify pretty much anything.

  9. Happy New Year Everyone 🙂

Please let me try to answer since there are a few good points above and some of aren't so good.
The current Tower game use a global traffic database so you are right at one point back in time we had to buy a global traffic database. It wasn't cheap and we could not afford it to update with each airport's release. This is why the default traffic is low at certain airports.

As far as I know Gabor picks a certain day for his RC/RT releases and grab every single flight that day manually (I'm sure he uses some script, but the idea is the same). Releases during Covid had lower traffic volumes because the real airports had lower volumes too.

In the upcoming Tower! Simulator 3 we will not use a global database. We offer so many customisation that we thought it would be more useful to save everything on an airport level so it will be much easier to modify, and share.

    Thank you

    Vic
