  1. Tower3D Pro ran successfully on Win 10 for a month or two. Intermittently, the program would reset the computer when program started. Deleted and reinstalled Tower 3D Pro many times. Sometimes the problem would not occur for 3 or 4 sessions, then the resets started. I turned off "automatically reset computer" option in system. Did a clean regedit for Tower3D pro. When it did run, I would get an error that stopped the program (see attached). Updated video driver. This did not help. Attached is output log. Please advise Nick output_log.txt crash.dmp error.log output_log.txt
  2. As follow-up to my last post about no pilot voices in 3d Pro, I made an end-run. On an underused hard drive, I installed Win7 64. After booting to that drive, Tower 3d pro now produces pilot voices. To my dismay, only the generic Microsoft female voice works. That voice is a major irritation to hear. Am I correct in assuming that the only way to get male voice is to run the program under Windows 10? Thanks, Nick
  3. Vic, No joy, but thanks for the effort. I am toying the the idea of doing a fresh install of 7. That should cure the problem. It is a matter of waiting for the right time so any anomaly does not jeopardize the computer for work. Nick
  4. After some additional troubleshooting with a program called App Crash View. It shows: C:\Windows\System32\Speech\SpeechUX\SpeechUXPS.DLL as a component of Tower 3d pro. It seems it is being used as a speech generation DLL. Do you have any knowledge as to how this generates speech in the program? Could this be the defective program that is causing the speech not to be generated? Thanks, Nick
  5. I did check the link, but it was not very helpful. All audio devices check fine. Dxdiags displays "no problems found." I have uninstalled the audio programs and let the computer reinstall them resulting in the same results. There is obviously a problem somewhere, but I am at a loss to find its source. Nick
  6. Vic The attached file contains a great deal of System Information. It might be overkill, but it might be helpful. The language setting is English US. Thanks, Nick System Information.doc
  7. I reinstalled Microsoft Speech 5.1. Still no voice. Voice recognition seems to be working. All indications are that the sound drivers are working. I am able to run Tower 2011 without difficulty to speech recognition and pilot voices. Your documentation indicates that there was a major re-write on speech and voice. Where would I look for difficulties in speech synth drivers on my computer? Thanks again for your continued support. Nick
  8. Finally able to create a game.log. Permissions must be set for the entire Tower3d Pro file for all the categories (Creator, Users etc). If you do it individually within the folder the game.log is not generated. Onward and upward. Attached are the game.log and speech.log as you requested. Thanks, Nick game.log speech.log
  9. When you refer to "game.log" do you mean Output_log? I ask this because I installed the Tower on another computer. After running the tower.bat, I could not locate the game.log. Even a search of the computer did not locate a "game.log." If it does exist, in what file does it reside? Thanks, Nick
  10. There were a great deal of residuals in the registry. It was cleaned with regedit and CC. Although, I got back to a clean install, the voices are still not heard. Attached are the only two files that are generated: output_log.txt and speech.log. This might have nothing to do with the issue, but one of the first lines of the output_log.txt shows: Platform assembly: C:\Users\Victor\Google Drive\Tower!3D Installers\Tower!3DPro\Tower3DProSP1a\mmwindow\mmwindow_Data\Managed\UnityEngine.dll (this message is harmless) Who is Victor and where is the Google Drive? This could just be part of the development process, but it is worth an answer. I guess my next move would be to try to install the program on another computer and see what happens. Nick speech.log output_log.txt
  11. Vic, Thanks for your help. I have re-downloaded the file, reinstalled in a new directory and changed the permissions on all the folders and files, Still no voices heard. Voice recognition does work to some degree. However, there is never a text response to a command, even though one is sent. After a push-back command, I do hear the engines spool up and the airport diagram shows a taxi route. This indicates that the command had been received by the aircraft and it is complying. Here is another strange issue. If I uninstall the program and then delete the folder, there seems to be some residual data that is buried somewhere in the system. After re-installing the program, even in a new location, when the program starts and KPHL is chosen, the runway I chose initially still remains. In other words, after a clean reinstall, the program never asks for a default runway. The original runway (27R) shows being selected. This indicates that a clean uninstall has not been performed. I have checked the App data and Application data files for residual data and also ran regedit to see if Tower3d Pro exists anywhere in the registry. Somehow, I am missing a file that contains information about the original install and start of the program. This might be causing legacy problems with the new install. Any ideas? Thanks again. Your help is greatly appreciated. Nick
  12. In addition to the mystery, no "game.log" is generated. The tower3d.bat is run in the directory as admin. I am running out of options at this point.
  13. No editing has taken place on the Tower3drec
  14. Wayne, Yes, running as admin. I've performed all the recommended fixes. Voice and speech work on all other programs including Tower 2011. Attached is the latest text file for the program. Anything you can do to help, would be appreciated. output_log.txt
  15. Vic - Same speech and voice difficulties. Added programs to Firewall as suggested: Win 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Sp1 Intel Core 15.467 CPU 3.30 Ghz 24 GB See attached log Your help will be greatly appreciated. Nick output_log.txt
  16. Are you using Megascenery? I'm sure you have read the instruction manual that details the settings in FSX and the settings for your Video card. I always make sure that the Lod_Radius is 7.5 in the fsx.cfg file. Megasecenery also suggests this tweak. It will probably help with any add-on scenery.: PhotoScenery such as MegaSceneryEarth is the most performance demanding add-on you can add to your FSX and Bojote's Tweaking and Tuning Tool for FSX optimizes your photoscenery display performance. You can visit the page here: http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html I also use Primo Cach for L2 caching. It seems to help. Nick
  17. Jbee- That is some excellent information. I will investigate. In the meantime, I received Wilco's E-jets series on CD Rom. It is apparently identical to the BMTmicro program I was using. The frame rates from the beginning increased to about 15 FPS. Whatever caused me to check the compatibility tab on Properties for the icon, it was set at Win 7 compatibility. I asked myself what would happen if I unchecked the box and ran without compatibility. To my surprise the frame rates jumped to 25. In the "unlimited" frame rate settings, frame rates of 35 were appearing. Out of curiosity, do you have compatibility enabled and, if so, set to what. Thanks, Nick
  18. If the Embraer 175 attained a frame rate of 18 FPS, this matter would not be an issue. The plane flies well at that level. Many, many hours were used to troubleshoot the issue, including a new download from the vendor. The original file was created in 2010. It is my opinion that the program is no longer compatible with Win 7 due to the Windows updates that have been applied. A different product was recently ordered. It is hoped that decent frame rates will return. Learning the Honeywell FMC and dealing with all the new facets of flying an EJet is a slow, repetitive process. Losing the education seems wasteful. Thanks, Nick
  19. Thanks for your reply. FSX was completely removed and installed. Frame rates were initially tremendous. I began to add back the ad-ons. Scenery was fine, other third-party aircraft were fine. When I loaded the Embraer 175 the Frame rates were cut in half and then kept declining over time. Microsoft Essentials is the only anti-virus in use. Thanks, Nick
  20. Since 2014 I have been successfully flying Embraer 175.Recently the frame rates briefly start off decent around 20 and as the aircraft is configure for takeoff the Frame Rates start droppng, dropping all the way down to 4 or 5 FPS. I have an I5 with Nividia 760 board, 240 GB memory under Win 7 64 bit. To determine the trouble area, FSX was completely removed and reinstalled. Out of the box , any of the stock planes and scenery give FPS upwards of 70. I load a Megascenry area in New York and the frame rate does not budge. lower. As soon as I change aircraft to the EB 175 the trouble starts. Again, this was not an issue a month ago. Nothing was added to cause this issue, to the best of my knowledge. Does E-Jets V.2 need an update to function properly? Other forums show similar situation with other computers running FSX, but not specific to EB175. Everything has been checked: Memory, Video card, configurations, FSX,cfg. I even us Fiber Excellerator and PrimoCache 2.0. Any ideas, at this point, would be a help. Thanks, Nick
  21. After properly programming the FMC for an ILS approach, some airports/frequencies fail to display Glide Slope information. With FMC selected, Prev button depressed and the correct FD course adjusted there is no MCDU indication of ILS capture. For example, KMHT ( Manchester, New Hampshire) has an ILS 6 frequency of 109.950. While on approach, the Outer Marker signal is received and glide slope indication is active, there is no lateral guidance and the MCDU does not indicate capture. Audible warnings of glide slope deviations are heard. All settings and programming have been double checked. Some airports, such as KPHL (Philadelphia) ILS 27L work fine. As an additional check, I flew the approach in a PA-161 with no difficulty. Is it possible for a user to try the approach and verify my findings? The forum lacks any posts regarding this matter. I appreciate any input, Nick
  22. Bingo! That was easy. Thanks for the help. Nick
  23. Vic, Thanks for your interest and help. Tower has been uninstalled and installed several times. Per your request, I again uninstalled and installed Tower. The same results occurred. Here is the problem overview. Please advise. 24. Checking CCleaner, I find that, indeed, there was a Windows update on the 5th. Is there a workaround? Thanks, Nick
  25. Thanks for replying..... To the best of my knowledge, there were no Windows updates prior to the problem and no programs were installed. Whatever the difficulty is, it affects both FeelThere products; Tower! 2011 and Tracon 2012. The only anomoly prior to the programs not functioning was the process of condensing an external Ebook drive by Western Digital. The process failed to complete. The only way to stop the process was a hard reset of the computer. Tracon and Tower had no relationship to the backup drive. All other programs on the computer seem to function normally. Thanks in advance for your help, Nick
