  1. To Everyone stating that JFK will be out of date: Please relax, if it is that big of a deal that Terminal 6 appears even though it no longer exists, then don't buy the add on. I understand that you want realism, but at the end of the day its about the overall build of the simulation. From what I see, Tower 3D looks great (I'm sure Feelthere did a fine job) and one [no longer existing] terminal should not impact your enjoyment of the Sim. If anything you should be happy if the old terminal is still there, that means increased capacity for arrivals and departures. Now, let's all be patient and see how things unfold.
  2. Hey, Thanks for responding to my other posts. I play BOS a lot and created a schedule that is supposed to offer 1200 flights. Hourly the schedule is supposed to provide average 84 aircraft per hour, however it often depends on my runaway configuration. I usually try to operate real world, with 4R, 4L, and 9 open for arrival, which gives me about 70 aircraft per hour. If I use a smaller configuration (22R,22L or 33L,27) then my traffic average is only about 50ish. My only thoughts are that adding arrival runways may provide more traffic. However I've noticed that aircraft will only come in >= 5 miles apart even if they are operating different runways, so that may be a programming limit. (all testing was done during the same Zulu time and same Arr/Dep slider settings). p.s. have you noticed when operating in Southeast flow (Arr: 22L and 27 Dep: 22R) that if an a/c is on takeoff roll on 22R while an a/c is on landing roll out on 27 you will get a ground collision alert? Naturally, I figured that this would be acceptable operation seeing as how 22R and 27 do not intersect aside from the blast pad area. I've even checked the airport editor and verified that the active runway portions don't intersect, but the issue persists. So I have to sequence departures and arrivals like I would for single runway ops.
  3. Hello, This may have been previously asked, but I have a speed issue with the e190 on approach. The aircraft will start approach at 219kts like normal, then when the descent begins it speeds up to 250kts automatically. Since I cannot adjust speed in Tower 2011, I have to use a runway that is at least 10000ft. I have used the Tower 2011 aircraft editor to reduce the speed and the landing distance, and verified that the changes were saved (running as admin). Even though the changes were retained that E190 still approaches too fast. Has anyone else had this issue, and possibly a fix? p.s. I've even edited all Embraer jets just to make sure I had the right aircraft.
  4. Hello, At PHL in west flow you cannot use runway 26 at all for any approaches. I always get "error no escape" when landing Dash 8's (which I've set to land within 2000ft). Dash 8's will slow down in ample time to make the exit at taxiway A, but when I get a successful landing I get penalized for no escape. Is there a way to make taxiways A, A2, A3, and D available for runway exit using the Airport Editor. Please help, I need a solution.
  5. Hello, Due to a few of the recent mergers (US/AA and WN/FL) I've adjusted the schedules and callsigns accordingly, but I wanted to know if you could adjust the terminal assignments of those aircraft? I tried the airfield editor, but got kind of confused. Also, at PHL I've noticed that even with my custom schedule which contains 200 dash 8 PDT express flights, I never get any dash 8's. Has anyone else noticed the very limited amount of Dash 8's at PHL? (without DH8's that makes runway 8/26 very useless) TY
  6. Yes, this occurs no matter what UTC time I start whether its on the default schedule or when using the custom generated schedule.
  7. Hey, Slight peeve I've noticed since playing Tracon...when I start Tracon, App & Dep control, I wont get my first arrival until about 40 mins into controlling. I understand that the arrivals appear >60 miles out as they approach but for all the sectors I have (excluding ATL) I wont even see any arrivals outside of my airspace until at least 25 mins into controlling. I even tried the schedule creator with about 80 a/c per hour and reduced the departure density to "counter the slow arrival rate". p.s. One thing I noticed with the schedule creator is that once the first arrival appears the rest will start as well, which is a plus. Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution? Thanks
  8. The fix that aquince offered works, I had a similar issue...and this solved the problem.
