JonR
Hi Pete Is there a way on the Jet Console to disable completely the switches like Pitot Heat, Lights, Fuel, Nav etc and all the AP functions? Reason: Running PMsystems now with CPFlight I/O board & CPFlight 737, if I have (for example) the PITOT heat switch on the overhead panel selected to ON and the PITOT heat on the JetConsole selected to OFF when the Jet Console refreshes it resets whatever I have already set on the overhead - or vice versa. So, whilst I'd like to continue to use the Jet Console for Throttle, Avionics & Gear, switching off some of these extra switches would help if it is possible. I tried asigning them to different non conflicting functions using FSUIPC but it made no difference. I suppose I could try and physically disconect the switches inside the console? Pete Dowson
Is there a way on the Jet Console to disable completely the switches like Pitot Heat, Lights, Fuel, Nav etc and all the AP functions? Program them in FSUIPC to something innocuous or harmless, or maybe other things you want to use. At present there's a bug in FSUIPC (3.20 and 3.201) which means that this action does not always override the PFC settings upon reloading FS -- I am fixing that now and will release 3.202 later this week. I tried asigning them to different non conflicting functions using FSUIPC but it made no difference. Ahsorry. That bug was found whilst I was away -- there's another thread on it here somewhere. I am fixing it. I think the bug doesn't affect aircraft-specific button programming, so if you only fly a few aircraft you could try programming them as "aircraft specific" for now. BTW I don't override any of the A/P buttons and dials and they do no harm -- only the toggle type switches can override anything else in any case. JonR
Hi I tried setting different "harmless" assignments but the switches still override my settings eventually. The AP is not a problem (apart from the Jet Console AT switch which conflicts with the CPFlight AT switch) As I understand it, I should wait for your new version of FSUIPC and perhaps that will help. Pete Dowson
I tried setting different "harmless" assignments but the switches still override my settings eventually. Yes, when you reload FS it fails to set the interlocks correctly. I said all that twice in my last message! It should work if you make the programming "aircraft specific", as I said. But don't bother if it is a trouble for you. I will fix the problem soon, as I also said. As I understand it, I should wait for your new version of FSUIPC and perhaps that will help. I thought I explained all the options in the last message. Please scan back up the thread and check again. Thanks! Pete
JonR
Hi Pete I only use one a/c and thus all changes are set for this one aircraft - this is not an urgent matter, I will wait for your fix. Many thanks. Regards Jonathan
Pete Dowson
I only use one a/c and thus all changes are set for this one aircraft That's okay then. Just make them aircraft-specific, as I suggested. In fact all you'd need to do it edit the FSUIPC.INI file and change the [buttons] section to be the [buttons.] section. The aircraft name is the one sepcified in the Aircraft.CFG file, readable in FSUIPC's Joysticks page 6 of 7, under "flap details". I will wait for your fix. Many thanks. Oh, okay.
