It isn't part of the definition of the aircraft, it is the state of the Flight you load. To change it simply shut down your engines, do whatever you want to set the aircraft as you want it to start, and save the flight, marking it as the default. All versions of FS as far back as I can remember have worked like this. You can have things started almost however you want, but you have to save them that way. Regards, Pete
