skypilot_65
Peter: In a few weeks I will be upgrading my PC to a newer technology for better performance. I have purchased and registered your FSUIPC module for Flight Simulator 2004 and have determined that the following files will need to be preserved. Are there any others I need to know about? FSUIPC.KEY FSUIPC.INI FSUIPC.LOG FSUIPC.DLL Thanks, Skypilot_65
ddawson
Those will do it for you. The one you really need to keep is FSUIPC.KEY, as it contains your registration information. FSUIPC.INI contains any customized settings you have saved - handy to keep, but can be redone. FSUIPC.LOG - you don't need this at all, it is recreated each session. The dll file of course can be copied back into the modules folder at any time. Doug Dawson

Don't bother saving the LOG file, that is recreated every time. If you are reformatting your disk and/or reinstalling Windows, which seems likely, you will need to re-enter the registration data even if you do keep the KEY file -- in this case the KEY file does give you a handy source for cutting and pasting the correct data. It is a plain text file. Regards, Pete
