FSUIPC 3.40

Recommended Posts

Several questions:

1. when I downloaded FSUIPC 3.40, it wanted to download as "180204" using Download Accelerator. I renamed it to FSUIPC.dll, downloaded it, and installed it in the modules folder. It appears to work, but there is no version attached to it. It is 1.37 mb long. I installed FS 9.1 update and it installed correctly and seems to work fine.

2. When I start up FS 9.1, I get the following message :

"Flight Simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue to use Flight simulator but this aircraft or software will be disabled"

File: FSUIPC.dll

Should this message appear and if so, how can I disable it from showing.

Thank you.

I don't know "Download Accelerator", but perhaps it's not compatible with files on whatever website you got it from. You should check with the site.

The file you should get it a ZIP file called FSUIPC.ZIP, and contains 13 items, only one of which is the FSUIPC.DLL.

I renamed it to FSUIPC.dll, downloaded it, and installed it in the modules folder. It appears to work, but there is no version attached to it. It is 1.37 mb long.

The 1.37 mb file is FSUIPC.ZIP. As I say, it contains 13 items including full documentation and some utility programs.

2. When I start up FS 9.1, I get the following message :

"Flight Simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue to use Flight simulator but this aircraft or software will be disabled"

Should this message appear and if so, how can I disable it from showing.

Delete this non- FSUIPC.DLL from the FS Modules folder, as it is NOT FSUIPC.DLL. Please download only the ZIP file as listed on any website which carries it, then extract the DLL for installation.

Pete

Many thanks Peter. I downloaded it with a different download manager and it came down as a "ZIP" file with 13 entries. I replaced the FSUIPC.dll with the one from the ZIP file and everything is fine now. This is the first time that Download Accelerator has "screwed" up, and hopefully the last.

Thanks once again. Regards. .... Larry
