Hello,

I'm trying to assign a button in FSUIPC to PM ND Map Ctr Mode but it isn't

working, the FSUIPC doc shows it as:

2098 PM ND Map Ctr Mode

My fsuipc.ini shows the correct value: 2098, but it isn't working, it's showing ND Rose instead.

Thanks

This is really more of a question for PM support. All FSUIPC does with that control is toggle bit 4 in offset 541C. The PM MCP program should recognise the change and then tell the ND to set MAP CTR mode. This is precisely as documented in Enrico's "Project Magenta FSUIPC Offsets", which is my only reference for this stuff.

I've just checked the same here and, with the latest PM builds, it looks like none of those bits at offset 541C are recognised any more. I can see them changing (e.g. using FSInterrogate), but they are ignored.

If Enrico has withdrawn these, he hasn't mentioned it to me and it will involve quite a lot of reprogramming, both in FSUIPC and PFC.DLL. I'm copying this message to him and asking for urgent clarification.

Regards,

Pete

Hi again Ulisses,

After more testing, it looks like PM's MCP is interpreting the bits differently to the way they are documented. This is the results I got:

ND Map Arc (bit 1) --> does nothing

ND Map Ctr (bit 2) --> Sets ROSE mode

ND ROSE (bit 3) --> Sets Map Arc mode

ND PLAN (bit 4) --> Sets PLAN mode (yippee!).

I'm afraid it is definitely over to Enrico for a solution now, sorry...

Regards,

Pete
