Phantom Raider Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Is it possible to steer the aircraft while taxing or accelerating down the runway with FSUIPC? I have tried adjusting the rudder position (0x0BBA), but it does not seem to do anything. Thanks for any help! Ryan
Pete Dowson Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Is it possible to steer the aircraft while taxing or accelerating down the runway with FSUIPC? I have tried adjusting the rudder position (0x0BBA), but it does not seem to do anything. The rudder control input at 0BBA does work. It is the main control for the rudder. Are you sure you don't have some joystick axis input interfering? You can disconnect the joystick rudder via bit 2 in 310A. The other possibility is that you have auto-coordination set (auto-rudder in the menus). With that setting the aileron control also operates steering. You can control the auto-coordination option via offset 0278. Use FSUIPC's IPC logging to check what your code is actually doing, and try things out in FSInterrogate. Regards, Pete
Phantom Raider Posted February 19, 2005 Author Report Posted February 19, 2005 Thanks, I'll try those out. I did have a joystick attached, so I'll try disabling it.
