Jonahbird Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Hi Pete I've been trying to download PFC.dll v 1.92 but keep getting 1.90 Am I doing something wrong? Regards Frank
Frank.O Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 Hi, it's OK here so there may be a problem with browser cache or proxy server. Empty the cache and/or try to force the proxy to reload the page pressing ctrl+F5. Regards, Frank
Jonahbird Posted March 22, 2005 Author Report Posted March 22, 2005 Hi Frank Thanks for the suggestions. I don't know how to do either of those things. I've never had a problem like this before. Regards Frank
Frank.O Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Hi again, in Internet Explorer go to Tools->Internet Options -> Advanced. Scroll down until you find "Empty Temporary Internet Files On Exit" (don't know the exact term, my windows is german) and place a checkmark there. Close IE and restart it. Go to http://www.schiratti,com/dowson.html. When the page is loaded press Ctrl-F5 to refresh it. Then download the file. It should be the correct one now. Regards, Frank
Jonahbird Posted March 22, 2005 Author Report Posted March 22, 2005 Thanks Frank. I've done all that but it hasn't changed a thing. I doubt that the change from 1.90 offers anything I need. My PFC equipment is 3 years old and is just the Single Pro flight console plus the Avionics and pedals. I'll wait until Pete gets back. Regards Frank
Pete Dowson Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 I'll wait until Pete gets back. The file on the Schiratti site is most definitely for 1.92. Regards, Pete
Jonahbird Posted April 2, 2005 Author Report Posted April 2, 2005 Hi Pete Hope you had a good holiday. This is a mystery. I've cleared the cache again, but still get 1.90 when I download. I've been using PFC for 3 years and have always been able to get your updates. What else might be wrong? Regards Frank
Pete Dowson Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 This is a mystery. I've cleared the cache again, but still get 1.90 when I download. I've been using PFC for 3 years and have always been able to get your updates. What else might be wrong? Your ISP is caching it. Sorry, but I really have no other idea. I know nothing about websites. See if the PFC site has been updated. Regards, Pete
Jonahbird Posted April 3, 2005 Author Report Posted April 3, 2005 Pete Frank.O was right. I tried his suggestions again and Ctrl + F5 did the trick. Learning all the time - never had to do that before. (Thanks, Frank) And , thank you Pete for the continuing improvements to your excellent software. Frank
