GAJ52 Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 I use just a Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold joystick when flying FS2004. When braking I use the default joystick button '1' but this applies full braking, is there any way I can assign progressive braking by assigning a button say 'Control' on the keyboard and pulling back on the joystick to brake progressivley. I am a registered user of FSUIPC and not very technical, I've tried reading the FSUIPC manual but cannot seem to find the help I require. Many thanks Glen

Button braking in FS should be "feathered". In other words do NOT press and hold for lighter braking, just press and release, over and over. That works and is the same as tapping on the keyboard "." key. Proportional analogue braking requires a dedicated axis. There are no facilities to switch axis use without going into FS's control assignments. FSUIPC does not handle assignments, it doesn't even handle the axes, only the control values internal to FS. GAJ52 Posted August 31, 2005 Author Report Posted August 31, 2005 Many thanks for such a quick reply. I'll give the 'tapping button' method a go. Glen
