gpsout and fs2004 problems

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am trying to configure gpsout to connect fs2004 on my dell pc to an aviation gps package (pocketfms) on my pda using a usb link. I have tried both port sentences for the usb port in gpsout.ini (port=\\\\wceusbh001 and \\\.\wceusbh001). I have used a usb port monitor to detect which port is receiving the nmea data from fs2004 but I have not been able to detect the data being sent to any of the usb ports. The usb monitor is working fine and is able to show the data being sent to the usb port containing my usb mouse. It also shows when I connect my pda into a usb port but does not indicat eh nmea data. I have ensured activesync is turned off.

Does anyone have any ideas that might help?

Cheers

Steve

Sorry, I couldn't make any of that work either. I guess that either the ports are already taken or there's more to that naming convention than we understand. I think that turning activesync off may not actually get rid of it, there's some background process still running I think which probably still owns the 'port' needed.

Hopefully someone who got it working will chip in and say how.

Regards,

Pete
