Scoot Posted November 14, 2005 Report Share Posted November 14, 2005 Hi Pete, I while ago ,I downloaded and paid for an earlier version of FSUIPC. I'v sinced upgraded it quite a few times . I have cause to reinstall it to a present new installation of FS 2004 . The problem is the registration page will not accept the key . Does the key expire after a while or is there a way around the problem . On other occasions i've had this problem then all of a sudden it accepts the key . If the FS2004 install is on the same PC (without a Windows re-install), then you only need to copy the FSUIPC.KEY file into the Modules folder. Otherwise you need to re-register -- but you MUST use exactly the same details as before. Does the key expire after a while or is there a way around the problem . On other occasions i've had this problem then all of a sudden it accepts the key. The software does NOT change like that, and purchased keys have no expiry date. But the Key is intricately related to your registered name and email. Every single character of every part of those three things must be correct. If they are it will work, if not it will fail. In almost 100% of cases the problem has been that folks use different names for themselves at different times, or change email addresses. The KEY only works with the ones you registered. (The only exceptions were some names with accented characters in the very first release two years ago, quickly corrected, and keys which have since been blocked through use of illegal generators, lack of payment, or breaking of license rules such as openly publishing details or sharing them with others). If you believe you have entered everything correctly and still have problems, please put together all the details, including if possible the original notifying email you received with the Key, ZIP them up and send them to me at petedowson@btconnect.com.
