europa88
Hi I have a registered version(latest 3.6) and for some reason Eric's M4000 Gauge wont display target information, yet I am sure It is a recognized gauge by fspuic! I have 3 other gauges by Eric and they all work fine but this one wont play ball! Any help would be great as I have spent over an hour trawling through the search facility and no joy! Regards Neil
Pete Dowson
I have a registered version(latest 3.6) and for some reason Eric's M4000 Gauge wont display target information, yet I am sure It is a recognized gauge by fspuic! Well a key has been issued for an "M4000", but I don't know what it does. By "targets" what do you mean? Is this a combat HUD or something? Or another TCAS gauge? If you are properly registered it wouldn't need a key in any case -- where did you get the registration key? I have 3 other gauges by Eric and they all work fine but this one wont play ball! Do they use FSUIPC? What do they display? Any help would be great as I have spent over an hour trawling through the search facility and no joy! Evidently then no one else has a problem with the M4000? Please do a short session, getting the problem, close FS down then show me the FSUIPC.LOG file you will find in the FS Modules folder. europa88
Hi Pete Yes it is a tcas gauge, very like the F16 gauge that some people seem to have problems with ,although actually I'm not one of them, as all the other gauges from Eric (including f16.gau and f16or.gau) are shown as recognized in the fspuic log! The M4000 isnt! I'm just going to run a session now ! Ps I cant remeber offhand where I purchased the reg key, no doubt I can find out with some research, It was through a genuine link from your site or readme.Perhaps I could send It to you to look at? Many thanks Neil

The M4000 isnt! If it isn't even mentioned in the Log, then there's only two possibilities -- either it isn't even trying to connect to FSUIPC (in which case you'd need to look elsewhere for a reason), or it is wrongly trying to connect as if it were an external program. In the latter case you may see it in the log identified incorrectly of course as FS itself! However, in the latter case, provided your FSUIPC is registered, it should still work -- UNLESS you have more than one Gauge or DLL trying to do it the same way. In the latter case they'd clash badly and neither work correctly as they'd be using the same data exchange memory. Ps I cant remeber offhand where I purchased the reg key, no doubt I can find out with some research, It was through a genuine link from your site or readme. SimMarket then. Perhaps I could send It to you to look at? No, it must be okay if the Log says you are registered AND the other TCAS gauges are working. europa88
Hi Pete Iv'e run 2 sessions one with the M4000 gauge and one with the F16or gauge, the f16or gauge is recognized, the M4000 isn't ! I havn't tried to input any reg keys apart from a registration key which shows me as a fully registered on the fspuic tab in game. Eric has made available keys for this M4000 gauge on his website for those who havn't a fully registered version of fspuic.( also on the forum too I believe) ********* FSUIPC, Version 3.60 by Pete Dowson ********* Running inside FS2004 (FS9.1 CONTROLS.DLL, FS9.1 WEATHER.DLL) User Name="neil latimer" User Addr FSUIPC Key is provided WIDEFS not user registered, or expired Module base=61000000 ClassOptions: UIPCMAIN=FF7F, FS98MAIN=FF7F, FS2KMAIN=FF5E WeatherOptions(Orig)=40003605[40003605] InitDelay: 0 seconds WeatherReadInterval=4 LogOptions=00000001 DebugStatus=15 7609 System time = 10:49:06 7625 D:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Cold War\Flight simulator 9\ 7656 C:\Program Files\FSHotSFX\FSHotSfx.exe MINIZ 8468 System time = 10:49:07, FS2004 time = 12:00:00 (00:00Z) 26953 C:\Documents and Settings\Neil\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\T5 Brize.flt 27093 AIRCRAFT\ALPHA EE Lightning_T5\Lightning_T5.air 27218 Aircraft="Lightning_T5 5" 34187 Client Application: "FSHotSfx" (Id=3300) 34187 C:\Program Files\FSHotSFX\FSHotSfx.exe 34187 Product="FSHotSFX" 34187 Company="FSHotSeat.com" 42953 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 56968 AIRCRAFT\ALPHA EE Lightning_F3\Lightning_F3.air 57109 Aircraft="Lightning_F3 56" 66187 C:\Documents and Settings\Neil\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\UI generated flight.flt 68250 Clear All Weather requested: external weather discarded 116140 Traffic File #25 = "scenery\world\scenery\traffic030528" 121000 C:\Documents and Settings\Neil\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\UI generated flight.flt 123343 Clear All Weather requested: external weather discarded 137484 C:\Documents and Settings\Neil\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\UI generated flight.flt 139500 Clear All Weather requested: external weather discarded 147312 Traffic File #24 = "scenery\world\scenery\traffic" 325109 C:\Documents and Settings\Neil\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\UI generated flight.flt 327703 Clear All Weather requested: external weather discarded 333687 System time = 10:54:32, FS2004 time = 10:49:32 (09:49Z) 333687 *** FSUIPC log file being closed Memory managed: 4 Allocs, 5803 Freed ********* FSUIPC Log file closed ************* FSUIPC, Version 3.60 Now the F16 Gauge!! by Pete Dowson ********* Running inside FS2004 (FS9.1 CONTROLS.DLL, FS9.1 WEATHER.DLL) User Name="neil latimer" User Addr FSUIPC Key is provided WIDEFS not user registered, or expired Module base=61000000 ClassOptions: UIPCMAIN=FF7F, FS98MAIN=FF7F, FS2KMAIN=FF5E WeatherOptions(Orig)=40003605[40003605] InitDelay: 0 seconds WeatherReadInterval=4 LogOptions=00000001 DebugStatus=15 875 System time = 10:57:41 875 D:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Cold War\Flight simulator 9\ 875 C:\Program Files\FSHotSFX\FSHotSfx.exe MINIZ 922 System time = 10:57:41, FS2004 time = 12:00:00 (00:00Z) 2438 C:\Documents and Settings\Neil\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\T5 Brize.flt 2485 AIRCRAFT\ALPHA EE Lightning_T5\Lightning_T5.air 2610 Aircraft="Lightning_T5 5" 7172 Client Application: "FSHotSfx" (Id=2368) 7172 C:\Program Files\FSHotSFX\FSHotSfx.exe 7172 Product="FSHotSFX" 7172 Company="FSHotSeat.com" 8547 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 23625 C:\Documents and Settings\Neil\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\UI generated flight.flt 24219 Clear All Weather requested: external weather discarded 30047 Module [M1] identified = "F16or.GAU" 38657 Traffic File #25 = "scenery\world\scenery\traffic030528" 40922 Traffic File #24 = "scenery\world\scenery\traffic" 191860 C:\Documents and Settings\Neil\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\UI generated flight.flt 192782 Clear All Weather requested: external weather discarded 198422 System time = 11:00:59, FS2004 time = 10:57:47 (09:57Z) 198422 *** FSUIPC log file being closed Memory managed: 4 Allocs, 4223 Freed ********* FSUIPC Log file closed **** Hope this helps Cheers Neil
europa88
Thank you Pete for all your help, i have solved the problem, as you guessed it was another issue with this particular gauge and modified panel cfg. Not a fspuic problem, but at least it stopped me looking for an issue in the wrong place! many thanks again Neil :D
