Hi Pete

I have alittle trouble with my flaps.

I have read the manual and know that in FS2004 values are from

-16384 to +16384, but 0 to 16384 is also recognized.

I use FSBUS on the client PC connected to FSUIPC on main PC.

I use UDP protocol for wideclient.

What happens is that after 10 minutes of flight flaps deploy on their own.

I have defined the flaps in FSbus from 0 to 16384.

There is no other hardware that could command flaps to deploy.

Perhaps you have a good idea what to check.

I know this is a complicated question, many thanks for your help.

You give insufficiient information I'm afraid. Are you using an offset, or a control, or what, to control the flaps. And how? What does WideFS have to do with it?

FS will never change the flap setting on its own, though it is conceivable that an add-on panel may do so -- so test with default aircraft only.

Have you tried using the Logging in FSUIPC to see if you can trap whatever it is which is doing it? You can log both axis and button type controls, and you can Monitor offsets. Not knowing anything about how you are trying to control the flaps, I'm afraid I cannot advise further.

Your problem may not be FSUIPC related.

I was havng problems with flaps and gear deploying unexpectedly. My problem was i had bought a new joystick (Saitek x52). I had used the saitek programming software to allocate buttons to a specific function. In my case the button I had assigned to "cycle view" was intermittently commanding the flaps. This was because FS9 recognised that joystick button as a flaps command and occasionally would overide the "cycle view" command from the Saitek software.

In FS9 I removed all joystick assignments and that solved the problem.
