FSX Licensing terms

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

I just read the FSX EULA and I notice:

Licensed Device. The licensed device.... In any event, this software cannot be part of an approved training program under the standards of the FAA or any other regulatory agency. Use of this software or any part of it to transfer data to another program not related to this software is prohibited.

The last sentence would seem to say you can't use FSUIPC, since that's exactly what it does. What do you think?

Everything interfacing to FSUIPC is related to FSX. FSUIPC is forging that relationship -- that is what it is for! ;-)

SimConnect can also be used directly by other programs, so that is forging relationships as well.
