tjander Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Peter, I bought fsuipc ver 4 and also fswide ver 6.71 the other day, I previously bought fsuipc ver 3.XX in October 2003 and have upgraded to ver 3.71. But now I would like to be able to use fswide with ver 3.71 and FS9, What do I have to do to register fswide in 3.71? My email address has changed since I bought fsuipc 3.XX in 2003. Thanks much Tom Anderson
Pete Dowson Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 I bought fsuipc ver 4 and also fswide ver 6.71 the other day WideFS you mean? Version 6.71 only applies to the WideClient part, the part you install on each of your client PCs (the ones not running FS). WideClient is completely independent of FS version -- it doesn't even care what FS it is on the Server PC. The WideFS product which works with FSX is called WideFS7. Is that what you purchased? Or WideFS6? Check your receipt. The Server part of WideFS7 is actually merged into the FSUIPC4 code for ease of installation and efficincy in execution, but it is still there, as "WideServer 7.xxx", just not shown as a separate DLL. I previously bought fsuipc ver 3.XX in October 2003 and have upgraded to ver 3.71. But now I would like to be able to use fswide with ver 3.71 and FS9, What do I have to do to register fswide in 3.71? My email address has changed since I bought fsuipc 3.XX in 2003. To use WideFS with both FSX and FS9 you have to buy both WideFS6 and WideFS7. You'll then have a key for both. If you have bought WideFS6 and have a Key but with a different email address to your FSUIPC3 Key then you'll need a new Key for FSUIPC3 in the same new email address. Please send me all the details (FSUIPC3 registration, preferably original receipt or else the FSUIPC.KEY file) and your WideFS6 registration and I'll make a new matching FSUIPC3 key. Send these ZIPPED up to petedowson@btconnect.com. Regards Pete
