raogden
I don't know what I've gotten myself into. I'm relatively new to the FS world and just purchased ActiveSky last night. However, because I didn't have a version of FSUIPC, it wouldn't work properly. Once I figured that out, I came to the website and downloaded FSUIPC4 which works with my FSX. However, I also have FS9 running for VRC1.1's tower view and I'd like ActiveSky to run on that as well. Now, if I'm understanding everything correctly, I have to have FSUIPC for FS9 as well, but FSUIPC4 is "FSX only." I say all that to get to my questions: Can I have two versions of FSUIPC running on my computer (1 for FS9 and 1 for FSX)? Is this even necessary? What am I missing? It's available from the Schiratti download site. Doesn't the ActiveSky install do that, or at least explain anything? Can I have two versions of FSUIPC running on my computer (1 for FS9 and 1 for FSX)? Is this even necessary? What am I missing? Yes, but not at the same time, and yes, and the FSUIPC version for FS9 (3.71 at present). They won't be running at the same time in any case as you surely cannot run both FSX and FS9 at the same time on the same PC. Even if you could, how would ActiveSky know who to talk to?
