neuman Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Hi Peter We are builders of 737Ng, we got from FDS the new AFDS PCB (A/P, A/T, FMC push/reset stuff) and we can't find how to make them work. 1. Do you have special offsets for these functions ? 2. If not - can you think of a way to make them work via the A/P A/T main switches ? We try to struggle with it but so far we can make the FMC go but not the A/P and A/T Many thanks Isaac
Pete Dowson Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 We are builders of 737Ng, we got from FDS the new AFDS PCB (A/P, A/T, FMC push/reset stuff) and we can't find how to make them work. Don't FDS have any information? don't they know how to make them work? 1. Do you have special offsets for these functions ? All the FSUIPC offsets are documented in the SDK. You need to download it from http://www.schiratti.com/dowson -- there's a sepcial update for FSX above if you need that. It won't list any private offsets used by third party drivers though. You'd have to ask them. 2. If not - can you think of a way to make them work via the A/P A/T main switches ? Since I don't know anything about any FDS hardware or software I'm afraid you are asking in the wrong place. Do FDS has a website or email address through which you can contact them and get documentation? What made you purchase such things if they cannot be used? Regards Pete
Norman Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 Isaac, Did you ever consider asking us over at http://www.flightdecksolutions.com where we have a very busy forum? Or maybe email?
neuman Posted December 5, 2006 Author Report Posted December 5, 2006 Pete - Thanks for that. From what I know, there are no offsets for this function (that is what I was told ..) So I thought it would be logical to backtrack it from the FSUIPC to PM. I need to know if somewhere there ARE offsets for this function - so the problem is to find and understand how they work. If there are none - well there is not much we cand o about it. Norman - We are FDS customers, we obviously started to seek for a solution for it in the FDS forum. So far there is no solution there for us, and we hope some of the FDS guys will have time (I know they are busy) to deal with it. If we had the answer in FDS forum ther is not much sense looking for an answer somewhere else is it ? Many thanks Isaac
Norman Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 If we had the answer in FDS forum ther is not much sense looking for an answer somewhere else is it ? Isaac, It is possible that I missed your post on the FDS forum but doubtful we all did. Maybe you want to bump your topic over there?
Pete Dowson Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Pete - Thanks for that. From what I know, there are no offsets for this function (that is what I was told ..) So I thought it would be logical to backtrack it from the FSUIPC to PM. You are using Project Magenta? You didn't say. That does make a huge difference you know!!! All the PM offsets are listed in the PM Offsets documentation on the PM website. I need to know if somewhere there ARE offsets for this function You never actually mentioned "this function", only a general question encompassing almost everything, thus: we got from FDS the new AFDS PCB (A/P, A/T, FMC push/reset stuff) and we can't find how to make them work. Perhaps if you asked specific questions then you'd get more help? So far all I've gleaned from you is not much more than "we got this hardware ..." (I assume it is hardware, you don't actually say, unless "PCB" = "Printed Circuit Board"?) and pretty much "we don't know how to use it". There's plenty of information, but at present I can't see what you are actually asking for! Regards Pete
neuman Posted December 5, 2006 Author Report Posted December 5, 2006 Gents, Thanks for the support Norman - on the builders forum in FDS there is a topic named "AFDS offsets" - currently there are 2 pages of it, with 21 replies... Pete - thanks for trying to help - I just read a team from FDS is going to look at the problem closely - I am pretty sure they will come up with a solution. Cheers Isaac
