ianbennett Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Hi, Dose AdvDisplay work with FsX Thks
Pete Dowson Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Dose AdvDisplay work with FsX No. AdvDisplay is no longer supported in any case, even for FS9. It was effectively replaced by the in-built FSUIPC Window facility in FSUIPC back in version 3.60 (in April). What makes you ask now? Have you checked the FSUIPC window facilities? Regards Pete

I want to display Radar Contact (or any other text) on a network computer screen. Wath should I be using for this? ShowText will work with FSUIPC3 (since 3.60) and FSUIPC4 and WideFS without AdvDisplay being installed. Just run it as usual. Didn't you even try it? The options bottom left on the main front page of FSUIPC's options control what happens with the FSUIPC display window in FS. Please take a quick look at the documentation. Regards Pete
ianbennett Posted December 7, 2006 Author Report Posted December 7, 2006 thks I think I have to read your documentation, I have not really been looking into it since a long time. Ian
mllgrennman Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Is there any way I can find the ADV display module? It worked just fine for me...thanks...
Pete Dowson Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Is there any way I can find the ADV display module? It worked just fine for me...thanks... No, it is not supported, not needed, and it doesn't work in FSX. It dates back to FS98 and FS2000 days. The facilities it provided are included in FSUIPC, on the first options (front) page. Pete
