FSUIPC-WideFS FS9 register if FSX version already bought

Recommended Posts

Hi!

subject says it all. I bought FSUIPC and WideFS Keys for FSX some weeks ago. Runs smoothly, no problem.

I use FS Commander on a 2nd PC, connected via WideFS.

Now, due the lag of good Add-Ons for the FSX (the performance is no reason) i bought the FS9.

I think i will use it until PMDG and Flight1 will release the 737 and the ATR for the FSX.

I understand, that i have to pay again for a FSUIPC Key for FS9, but what about the WideFS?

I'm not a friend of torrent and pay for good software.

Can i use the WideFS Client from my FSX Version which is more or less the same?, to connect to the new FS9 licensed FSUIPC?

WideFS is WideServer. It is WideServer that the WideFS keys unlock, and I'm afraid the FS9 and FSX ones are different.

It is a shame you didn't purchase them the other way around -- there's a good discount for the FSX bundle if you bought the FS9 bundle after April. It might be worth asking SimMarket about that. They don't have email, but you put put the point in a problem ticket I think.

The same Clients are used with both, it is the Server which is a completely rewritten program, using SimConnect, for FSX. With FSUIPC3 the Server is a separate module, WideServer.DLL.

Thanks for fast reply Pete,

I'll give it a try. Otherwise i'll buy a FS9 bundle too. It's good stuff, usefull for me and worth the money.

regard, Karl
