JRui Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 I'm having problems running this modulo in vista, even when I install and start as Administrator... Sometimes vista let the FSUIPC install and appears as an adding, and sometimes simply doesn't appear at all in he add ins pull-down menu. Some erratic beaver... I manage to install it once. but even then some functions like joystick calibration didn't work as it use to work in windows XP, for example it was impossible to assign axis. :?: When can we aspect a update for vista? FSUIPC is an essential peace of software for me... :?: Thanks for you attention, and sorry for the bad English :?
Pete Dowson Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 I'm having problems running this modulo in vista, even when I install and start as Administrator...Sometimes vista let the FSUIPC install and appears as an adding, and sometimes simply doesn't appear at all in he add ins pull-down menu. Some erratic beaver... Did you check the FSUIPC4.LOG (in the Modules folder)? Whether the Add-Ons menu appears or not is a function of SimConnect, not of the Install nor of Vista vs. XP. There have been many problems reported with bad SimConnect installs, and also with SimConnect reacting badly to assorted Security settings, Firewalls and the like. Please do refer to my Support forum, and check the assorted announcements and help there. I manage to install it once. but even then some functions like joystick calibration didn't work as it use to work in windows XP, for example it was impossible to assign axis. :?: The axis assignment problem in Vista was fixed in version 4.08, released last week. Please see the Support forum (as linked to by all my odcumentation, etc) and download updates when they are provided. When can we aspect a update for vista? FSUIPC is an essential peace of software for me... :?: If you visit the Support forum occasionally you will see these things. The Vista update was released last week. Regards Pete
