FSUIPC supports all of the FS built-in controls. PMDG do their own thing though, especially with the AutoPilot, which I think bears little relationship to the built in one. See if there's a keystroke assigned to the function. I'm pretty sure PMDG provided keyboard shortcuts for most things. If so you can program FSUIPC to send that keystroke when you press your button.
