Hi All

I have had a bit of time on my hands and have been thinking (bad idea)

Just recently I built up an lcd screen which was very easy and real cheap to build, when used in conjunction with software gives me data on the health of my comp things like temp, free mem,up time, cpu load and even the name of what winamp song thats playing

http://www.overclockers.com.au/techstuff/a_diy_lcd/

So whats my question about ?.well what if there was a little software app that plugged into CF2 FS2k ect that gave us info like speed, hight, direction, radio freq, ect ect Ive look into this a bit and whilst I know nothing about programing I think this could be done, for example FSUIPC.dll plugs into other software for weather, tracking ect. There is a fair bit of info on programing the lcd and on this site the programer allows you to download his source code

http://lcdriver.pointofnoreturn.org/index.html

So what do you think ?

some more info links

Thanks

Go to http://www.schiratti.com/dowson and download the FSUIPC SDK. It will show you how to extract whatever information you like, in any of several languages -- C/C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, and variations. Java soon.

Regards,

Pete
