Hi i have parchouse a new PC and i am getting an hard time to setup the yoke. FS9 - FSUIPC 3.72

I have assigned the central lever of the CHYoke to mixture lever in FS9,

in FSUIPC i have assign to direct to FSUIPC Reverse and calibrate in reverse section.

The left lever to throttle fs assignament and in FSUIPC direct to FS as throttle set, and calibrate it that there is no reverse zone -16XX -16XX 16XX

After everithing check and test my 767 engine works fine and the central lever work fine for reverse.

but once on final for landing and disconnect the autothrottle, put the throttle to idle I can't deploy the reverse they don't work I mouve the lever but no way to have them to work.

If I push the F2 key the reverse, nicely work, and after released I menage to use the central lever for reverse.

I am really become crazy for that and also FS give to me a bad time to calibrate averything.

Dos anyone had that problem?

Thank you

It sounds exactly like you have not calibrated the throttle sufficiently well to guarantee you always have zero thrust set when you pull it right back. You will need to allow more "dead" space there.

Alternatively, but more problematic, you can tell FSUIPC to let you set reverse thrust even when there is still forward thrust set. Check out the parameter

MaxThrottleForReverser=n

which goes into the relevant [JoystickCalibrations] section of the FSUIPC INI file. You can set any value there (up to max throttle, 16384) below which your reverser will still operate -- provided FS isn't seeing jittery changes if you have the throttle directly assigned in FS -- and that's another possibility: that your throttle is assigned in FS as well as direct in FSUIPC, and the FS value is interfering with the FSUIPC value.

Thank's for reply.

I have an hard time mostly with pmdg 747 wich after calibrate there always something wrong.

With leveld works fine now with your help.

One majer problem as you said on the manual is that when you lunch FS9 it assign key automaticly, but you get really depress because even if you unassign before you fly, it still react.

For example I have unassign button 6 for the gear on the yoke but once I use in Fsuipc for costum keystroke and if press and you are flyng FL390 tatata the gear goes down

Is there any one who can advice me, on wich is the best for setup with the 747 pmdg.

Anyway

thank you :D

Hmmm. I've never had that sort of problem, provided the joystick stays connected. Are you using winXP? There used to be problems with USB in Win98.

Otherwise all I can think is that you disable the joystick in FS altogether and use only FSUIPC. There's one FS option for that -- diable/enable joystick. You don't need to de-assign things then.

I have try that one and thank's for the tutorial wich help a lot, but for unknow problem with pedals calibration i have to reinstall everithing from scratch so i came back to normal fs.

But i will try again with the method you mention.

This is just a thought Is it possible to delete all joystick info in FS9 device.cgf so fs will not map any key.

If I want to backup Fsuipc.ini,wideclient.ini,fs9.cgf for future restore will be enough or there is other file.

Peter just for curiosity what sort off add-on you use.

It would be nice if all people can participate on a pool to have an overview of configuration and method used for add-on ect.

Another question is ther other link of web site like this one :

http://home.planet.nl/~nwkaan/ where it shows tutorial on setup fsuipc and widefs.

thank's

I've not tried that --- it may just makes defaults, anyway, but it would be worth a try. Back up the DEVICES CFG files first. Find the section(s) corresponding to your joystick names (as shown in FS assignments dialogues) in one or other of the DEVICES CFG files, and either remove the assignments or make them into ones that don't do anything or don't matter.

Sorry, I really don't have any magic solutions. I don't know why you are getting deleted assignments re-made in any case unless every time you boot it sees the joystick as a new connection?

WideServer.INI too, and your FSUIPC.KEY file of course. For scenery installation there's SCENERY.CFG.

Most if my hardware controls are PFC, so not using FS assignments at all but my PFC driver. The one exception is an Aerosoft (Oz) GA-28R cockpit (a Piper Arrow III) which is driving FS through FSUIPC using an Aerosoft driver. I only have "normal" joysticks, cheap gamepads and the like, for testing.

In terms of add-on software, I use all the Project Magenta Boeing package, and pmSystems, pmSounds, pmInstructor, plus Radar Contact, ActiveSky, AISmooth, FSRealTime, MyTrafficX (on FSX), Ultimate Traffic (on FS9), plus most of the best scenery, texture and mesh add-ons for UK and Europe.

I use Jeppesen FliteMap to prepare flight plans for the pilot, PM's CDU and Radar Contact, and FliteMap is also used as a Moving Map.

On my main sim I fly the PMDG 737-700 or -800, but without any of PMDG's panel stuff -- that's alll replaced by the Project Magenta parts.

The 737 cockpit is the ready-made one by PFC (see http://www.flypfc.com) which itself has 6 mini-PCs driving it, under the hood, with four further PCs networked out side the cockpit running FS itself and the assorted external add-on programs.
