chrisal Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 Hello Peter, I seem to remember a previous version of FSUIPC inhibiting the loading of newly saved default flights. Could this be happening again with 4.09? Or is it me? Cheers Chris
Pete Dowson Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 I seem to remember a previous version of FSUIPC inhibiting the loading of newly saved default flights. Really? How did it do that? Sorry, that is something I don't recall at all. Can you provide a reference? The only thing to do with default flights was this, in FSUIPC3, corrected in January 2006 after being that way for five years: [3.53] Fixes a problem where flights being saved could not be set as 'default' at the time of saving.Oddly, this problem has been present, on and off, in FSUIPC for at least five years, across three versions of FS, but was not actually reported until the day 3.52 was released. It is due to the intercepted Save Flight routine in FS being a function, returning a value, whereas it was defined as a procedure without a value in the header files used in FSUIPC. This cannot apply to FSX because there's no interception of any routines in FSX. The information and facilities relating to Flights is provided nicely by the SimConnect interface. Regards Pete
chrisal Posted April 15, 2007 Author Report Posted April 15, 2007 Thanks Pete, Oh well, back to the drawingboard! I'll experiment further and try to spot what is or isn't happening... Cheers Chris
