Have you read any of the Announcements? Have you installed the FSUIPC verison 4.10, introduced to update it to work with SP1? Is there an AddOns menu entry for FSUIPC? Have you any FSUIPC4 log files to show me? I really can't tell you anything at all unless you tell me more, please. Pete

Pete Dowson
Tell me if this is you need, ... ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.10 by Pete Dowson ********* Well, this shows you are using FSUIPC 4.10, and that it has added itself to the FSX "Add-Ons" Menu, but it looks like you have not put "PFCFSX.DLL" into the correct place, next to FSUIPC.DLL in the Modules folder. If you had done there would be a log entry like this: 17938 SimStart Event: Initialising SimConnect data requests 17938 FSUIPC Menu entry added 18313 i:\my documents\flight simulator x files\738 at EGCC.FLT 18313 G:\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\B737_800\Boeing737-800.AIR 18891 System time = 09:47:05, FSX time = 09:47:02 (08:47Z) 19344 Aircraft="Boeing 737-800 Paint1" 20719 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 140594 PFC Menu entry added That's part of my own log. There's been no change in any of this area of FSUIPC and it isn't at all affected by SP1. If the PFCFSX.DLL module is present, in the right place, it is loaded. If not, it isn't. It is as simple as that. Incidentally, the current version of PFCFSX.DLL is 4.20. In case yours is corrupted it may be a good idea to download it again. Pete Dowson
... but when i install the latest version of FScopilot and FSinn and i start FSX i check on my ADDON menu and i see FSUIPC and FScopilot but not PFC Is that version of FSInn and FSCopilot specifically designed for FSX with the SP1 update? If not I suggest you wait until a suitable version is available. It sounds like something it is doing is wrecking something. If you are using versions updated for SP1, could you try getting a SimConnect log file please (see the FSX Help announcement). I'd like to see how the PFCFSX.DLL manages to load and run without a menu when it is FSUIPC4 which loads and runs it and adds the menu. I'm wondering if we've discovered another, or a new, SimConnect bug. Regards Pete
Pete Dowson
My PFC console work fine right now, but i have an other problem, when i start my FSX and i check my ADDON menu i see FSUIPC and PFC, but when i install the latest version of FScopilot and FSinn and i start FSX i check on my ADDON menu and i see FSUIPC and FScopilot but not PFC Okay .... I managed to find and install FSCopilot 1.7 -- what a task though. Please see below! The non-appearance of the PFC menu entry seems to be due to FSUIPC not seeing the response to then Simconnect_Open call it makes for PFC. I'm not sure why, but I have devised a work-around and tested it here. Please look for FSUIPC4 interim version 4.104 in the FSX Downloads announcement later tonight. Meanwhile, please check my report below and forward it for me. Regards Pete =========================== PROBLEM WITH FSCOPILOT INSTALLER My FSX folder is G:\FSX. It tried to install FSCopilot.dll into "G:\FS\Modules", which of course failed as there's no folder "G:\FS". I see it is still in Beta, so maybe it will be fixed -- but perhaps you could notify the author if you are Beta testing it. I suspect it is getting the install path from the Registry, and expecting it to end with a "" -- which in fact is entirely optional, and depends upon how FSX was installed. He's assuming that this \ is there and overwriting the "X" instead. Worse, the installer doesn't check for an error when it tries to create G:\FS\Modules\FSCopilot.dll, so it fails silently with no sign of FSCopilot.dll anywhere. Luckily the same DLL was also installed into FS9, which did have the '\', so I copied it over.
