Todd Moore Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 I was able to do this before, but for some reason I can't get it to work now. How do I set up my yoke throttle to give me a thrust reverser when I bring it back past a certain point?

How do I set up my yoke throttle to give me a thrust reverser when I bring it back past a certain point? If you have a Registered install of FSUIPC, you can do it via the Joystick Calibration tab, in FSUIPC options. Full instructions are provided for this in the FSUIPC User Guide, in the Joystick Calibration section. Regards Pete
Todd Moore Posted August 26, 2007 Author Report Posted August 26, 2007 Where can I find the user guide? I do have a registered copy of FSUIPC.
Todd Moore Posted August 26, 2007 Author Report Posted August 26, 2007 I found the user guide. But I see the problem. When I move the throttle, the numbers do not change. What do I need to do to get that to work?

What do I need to do to get that to work? The numbers in which page of the Calibrations don't change? If you have a single throttle lever assigned through FS to the single all-engine throttle, then the place to look is page 1 of the Calibrations, along with ailerons, elevators and rudder. Pete
Todd Moore Posted August 26, 2007 Author Report Posted August 26, 2007 I think I have found the problem. I haven't tested it yet, but there isn't a locked=1 in the cfg file. I'll let you know.

Pete Now I have a new problem...or maybe the same one, I don't know. I go to the first page and I can get all the numbers to move. But on the throttle page, where you set the reversers, I do not see the numbers moving. I managed to get the reversers to work once, but they were opening way too soon on the throttle arc. When I went to reset it and try again, nothing...no movement.

When I went to reset it and try again, nothing...no movement. The 4-throttles page only works if you either assign your throttle levers to the separate Engine throttle controls, or, with one throttle lever, check the "Map to 4 throttles" option on the main throttle page. Obviously if your throttle is working on the first page you've not done that! This is all clearly explained in the User Guide, so it may help if you reviewed that. Regards Pete
Todd Moore Posted September 12, 2007 Author Report Posted September 12, 2007 Well, as far as a user's guide goes, I have no idea where it is. Although, I finally figured it out with your help...somewhat. I mapped the throttle to the four throttles then I set the #1 throttle with an idle point and I finally got my reverser where I want it to be. Thanks.
Pete Dowson Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Well, as far as a user's guide goes, I have no idea where it is. But earlier you said "I found the user guide"!! How come you lost it (again?)? Best to re-download the FSUIPC.ZIP and make sure you put its contents somewhere you can find them! I put a lot of hard work into the documentation, especially in the area of joystick calibrations and assignments, and it explains things a lot better than I can here. I shouldn't have to keep repeating things already written up fully. Regards Pete
