vgbaron Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Hi Pete - I've just built a new system and I'm dual booting XP Pro and Vista, for now. I've installed FSX on it's own drive. I did the install twice in the same location, one for each OS in order to keep the registry settings ok. Seems to work fine. In re FSUIPC - will I also need to do a dual install or can I just copy the data from my old system (FSX Modules) folder to the new FSX install? Will the dual boot have an effect on the FSUIPC.INI file that I should watch for or should I set FSUIPC to load the specific ini file depending on OS? Thanx, Vic
Pete Dowson Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 re FSUIPC - will I also need to do a dual install or can I just copy the data from my old system (FSX Modules) folder to the new FSX install? You'll need to re-register once for each operating system, as it makes a little note in the Registry. Will the dual boot have an effect on the FSUIPC.INI file No, there are no differences. The same INI file will suffice. Regards Pete
