Pete Dowson Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Hi, recently I have problems with Wide FS. Need some help. First I want to solve the problems with FS 9.... FSUIPC Version 3.7.4.0 registered Version ... 250 Trying TCP/IP addr 192.168.1.1, port 8002 ... 1172 Error on client pre-Connection Select() [Error=10061] Connection refused 1. FSUIPC version 3.74 is out of date and unsupported. Please get 3.75. 2. WideFS 6.72 is out of date and unsupported. Please get 6.75. 3. The only actual error is "Connection Refused" which is exactly what Windows is telling WideClient. That can only mean either that the IP address is incorrect (why not use the Server's Name instead?) of that this PC is not allowed to access that PC -- maybe a firewall. Regards Pete

rhammond Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 Just another note above that I forgot, all firewalls are off.
Pete Dowson Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 ServerName=rickey Protocol=TCP ... 266 Trying TCP/IP host "rickey" port 8002 ... 266Okay, IP Address = 192.168.0.4 1157 Error on client pre-Connection Select() [Error=10061] Connection refused ... Date (dmy): 28/09/07, Time 08:45:57.453: Server name is ATK-BBF6E2B97AA ... The Client IP is 192.168.0.4 The Server IP is 192.168.0.2 ... I must be missing something simple! You most certainly are. Please look at the extracts above. See that you told Wideclient that the server name is "rickey", which is IP 192.168.0.4. Do you see what the server name really is, "ATK-BBF6E2B97AA"? Even you stated that the client IP was 192.168.0.4. Surely it is pretty obvious that the client cannot connect to itself? It needs the Server! Regards Pete
rhammond Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 Sometimes we cannot see the forest for the trees! Thanks Pete My WideClient config should be as follows: [Config] Port=8002 ServerName=ATK-BBF6E2B97AA Protocol=TCP. . . . Thanks Rick
