GAJ52 Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 I am using FS Commander while flying online on Vatsim, is shows the other online pilots flying on the main map. If I hold the cursor over the online pilots in turn they all show the same departure and destination airfields. I put this question to the FS Commander forum and was told FSC gets this information from FSUIPC and this doesn't seem to be happening with the other online network IVAO which is what they use. Any ideas why this may be happening ? Glen

I don't know how it is getting departure and destination information for on-line flyers in the first place, as this is not something FSUIPC provides, itself. It only gets this information (from FS itself) for the AI traffic. There are facilities in FSUIPC for third party programs to inject information to be shown on TCAS/Radar screens, and this could conceivably include routing if that program is aware of such. Maybe you are using different software for that to the others? I think Squawkbox 3 has facilities built in. Earlier versions needed AIBridge. I don't know about FSInn or other packages, and I don't know which, if any of them, included routing. You'll need to ask the suppliers of the package you are using to connect you to the Server. That is where the data comes from. Regards Pete
GAJ52 Posted October 19, 2007 Author Report Posted October 19, 2007 Pete Thanks for the quick reply, I'll have to investigate this further :) Regards Glen
