Hello Pete,

I have a problem calibrating the flaps with specific detentes.

When I click the Cl button then not all the variables are cleared and therefore I can not set #2 for example.

My new input does not change the old setting.

Only #0 and the top of #1 is cleared.

Also when I move the lever then only IN is changing but not nothing happens to OUT. Is this normal?

Sorry, that doesn't make sense to me I'm afraid. The "Cl" and "Dt" buttons are one and the same. It's a toggle. If you press "Dt" you switch into detente mode and the button changes to Cl, if you press Cl, then the detentes are cleared (including the detente displays) and the button changes back to "Dt". You cannot set any detentes whilst Dt is showing, you have to press it to enable detentes.

My new input does not change the old setting. Only #0 and the top of #1 is cleared.

When you press Cl, you don't get any #0 or #1 showing! Please explain what you mean. Can't you simply follow the steps given in the user guide? None of the values are "cleared", only the detentes. Values are only ever set by YOU, pressing the "Set" buttons above the value displays. They don't change otherwise.

Also when I move the lever then only IN is changing but not nothing happens to OUT. Is this normal?

The OUT value will only change in response to calibrations already set. You are calibrating against the INPUT values in order to AFFECT the OUTPUT values. That's the whole purpose of the calibration facilities! With detentes, when set, the OUT values will jump from one flaps position value to the next when the axis moves over the half-way point between two of your calibrated detentes. They won't change otherwise.

Regards

when I calibrate detents I never clear?

set 0 setting From

move to To position 1st detent / set To

go #2

#2 From will be same as To from previous, just dont move lever / Set From / move to To / set To

go #3 , do not move lever / set From / move to To / set To

etc

But, flaps I dont do detents, for FSUIPC will know how many Flap positions there are with different AC (like 3, others 5) and saves you a lot of calibration if you keep this on 'autosense' (reads your aircraft.cfg appearantly).

Only have to remember per different AirCraft approx takeoff flap position,

my CH Throttle has perfect detent (Idle) for flaps-1 (like 30 with 737-400) and is the preferred Landing Flap

/ same with spoiler, use CH Idle detent for 'ARM" / but of course you can do whatever

and I have a Gear UpDown lever with Down 'Passed' 'idle' Detente

my 2 cts
