Rowers
Hello. I have just paid for a registered version of FSUIPC, and have a question. I only use the 2D cockpit, and use my hat switch on my CH yoke to look around. When I look in any direction the view snaps back to forward view as soon as I let the hat switch go. Can I use the FSUIPC to make the views "sticky", if you know what I mean? I want to use the hat switch to look i.e. left, and that this view stays left until I use the hat switch to choose another view. Hope this is understandable. Thanks, Rower. In the "Buttons and Switches" option page when you operate the Hat you should find that it is recognised as a series of switches, 32 at 12 O'Clock through to 39 at 10:30 -- assuming your hat recognises 8 cardinal positions. FSUIPC treats each position as a "button press" and when you release it that's a button "release". If you don't program the release section, then on release nothing will change. The controls to assign have names like "View forward", "View forward right" and so on. Don't forget to de-assign it in FS. Regards Pete
Rowers
Thanks for a prompt and very useful answer, Pete! Can't wait to get home and give it a try. Rower
Rowers
Hi, Pete! It worked like a charm. Thanks. Now, I wonder if there is a way to make the different sub-panels to stay where I want them to be. Let me explain: Every time I fire up the simulator (FS9), the sub-panels are in a certain position when I bring them up by clicking the icons or my buttons on the yoke. I then have to reposition them where (and in the size) I want them. Is there a way to make FS9 to remember where I want these sub-panels to be? Thanks, Rower

Just set everything the way you want, then save the flight marking it as default. Pete
Rowers
Good idea. I'll try that, and save a flight for each of the different airplanes (and panels). Thanks, Pete. Rowers.
