Heron 1B
Hi Pete, Many thanks for the PMDG 737 OHD.MCRO being part of FSUIPC version 3.81. Simboards and keypress are all very new to me. Been to the FSUIPC Users Manual and found the Macro Control page. Found 737OHD.MCRO folder in FS9 Modules. Just installed Flightdeck Tech Sim-Boards and already have Landing Gear and Autobrake active for PMDG 737NG. Looking at building Overhead Panel next but been told that you cannot have active O/H switches and rotaries with or for PMDG 737NG? I believe you have fixed this issue with FSUIPC 3.81 and 737OHD.MCRO. Question is can the switching be activated via FDT Simboard Input Module, is it a matter of navigatiing to the 737OHD.MCRO in Modules from Sim-Boards General Actions and Perform Keypresses area? Pete Dowson
Many thanks for the PMDG 737 OHD.MCRO being part of FSUIPC version 3.81. That's just an example of the mouse macro capabilities. You can produce those yourself, just following the instructions, for any part of the PMDG cockpit. Just installed Flightdeck Tech Sim-Boards and already have Landing Gear and Autobrake active for PMDG 737NG. Looking at building Overhead Panel next but been told that you cannot have active O/H switches and rotaries with or for PMDG 737NG? Really? I believe you have fixed this issue with FSUIPC 3.81 and 737OHD.MCRO. The overhead was just a part I did as an example. It isn't the facility. The facility is the ability to make Macro files, defining new controls for assignment, to many actions previously only possible using the mouse. Question is can the switching be activated via FDT Simboard Input Module, is it a matter of navigatiing to the 737OHD.MCRO in Modules from Sim-Boards General Actions and Perform Keypresses area? Sorry, I have no idea whatsoever what an FDT Simboard is or does. If it produces button presses or keypresses which are recognised in FSUIPC's Buttons or Keys options, then you can use it to select any FS or FSUIPC control, and those include any added by Macro files. There's no such thing as "navigating to a Macro file", that means nothing. Macro files merely define names for add-on controls. You do the assignments in the Buttons or Keys tabs of FSUIPC options.
