iFly 747 black panels

Recommended Posts

No I don't think so as the FS9 version works perfectly. I even had until a couple of weeks a working version on FSX but I bought a new PC.

Can I get an older Fsuipc somewhere?

Sorry, what has FSUIPC got to do with it? You never mentioned FSUIPC, just a completely different product called "iFly 747", saying it was incompatible with FSX SP2.

What do you think an "older" FSUIPC will do for you? Older versions are always worse than newer ones. Anyway, since you never mentioned FSUIPC before, let alone a version number, how am I to guess what you mean by "older"?

If this IFly add-on actually uses FSUIPC and refuses to show panels if it isn't talking to it correctly, you need to check the FSX Add-Ons menu to make sure FSUIPC4 is actually installed and running, and that it says you are properly registered. Then check the FSX Modules folder to see if there's an FSUIPC4.LOG file, and if so look at it and see if that tells of a problem.

Yes, the Install log looks fine and shows FSUIPC4 is installed correctly. But that isn't what I asked. I said:

If this IFly add-on actually uses FSUIPC and refuses to show panels if it isn't talking to it correctly, you need to check the FSX Add-Ons menu to make sure FSUIPC4 is actually installed and running, and that it says you are properly registered. Then check the FSX Modules folder to see if there's an FSUIPC4.LOG file, and if so look at it and see if that tells of a problem.

Maybe you could go and find the correct answers, then we might get somewhere?

Do you also confirm that this "IFly 747" uses FSUIPC, and that it is compatible with FSX? A lot of panels designed for FS9 won't work in FSX, or only work in DX9 mode. Are you using DX9 or DX10 with FSX?

  • 1 month later...

Fsuipc is in the FSX menu. Click shows something like:

"code signature does not verify. Try root patch..."

Sorry, can you elaborate on what "click" means here? I cannot visualise how a mouse click shows you anything?

Can you please just run the FSUIPC 4.30 installer (the EXE program inside the current FSUIPC4.ZIP file), then show me the Install log -- you'll find it in the FSX Modules folder.

Regards

Pete
