vgbaron Posted August 21, 2008 Report Posted August 21, 2008 Hi Pete - Don't know if this is important or not so wil let you decide. Purchased FSCommander X from Aerosoft and the installer tries to install the 4.28 version of FSUIPC. It recoginized that I was running a newer version and said so and did not overwrite. Then I got a message to check that you were a "Trusted Publisher" because something could not be verified. Clicked OK then got a message 'Unable to register" and install ended normally. Fired up FSX and my version of FSUIPC is still registered and there seems to be no problems other than the strange messages. Thanx, Vic

Sorry, but without the Install log, which is produced explicitly and specifically so such occurrences can be examined and dealt with, none of that is at all useful or meaningful. Regards Pete

This worried me, so, despite having no information to start with, I persisted and finally got it to happen here. It is a bug in the Installer which only had any adverse effect after I added facilities in FSUIPC4 to allow for changed INI file names based on changed FSX.EXE file names. Thanks for reporting it. It'll be fixed in the next Installer release, in a week or two. Regards Pete
