Have fixed FSX and it still will not work any help please.......
Ian P Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 Make sure you have the latest version of FSUIPC and reinstall it. Also try re-running SP2. This will ensure that you are running versions of FSUIPC and Simconnect that will talk to each other. That's the first thing to try, before doing anything more drastic! Ian P.
Pete Dowson Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 ..' get error message saying FSX installation is incorrect the version of Simconnect installed will not load FSUIPC4 YOU need to repair FSX iNSATLATION TO RECTIFY THIS FIRST. Have fixed FSX and it still will not work any help please Show me the FSUIPC Installation log -- you'll find it in the FSX Modules folder. When you say "Have fixed FSX", what exactly do you mean? This error is normally due to a bad original SimConnect installation, often apparently resulting from attempting to un-install and re-install FSX with one of the steps being incomplete. See also the FSX Help announcement above for assistance in repairing the original SimConnect installation. Regards Pete

Pete Dowson Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Thanks for the reply to my question but still not allowing me to do anything have downloaded from Peters site the FSUIPC link and still getting error message re simconnectand have reinstalled sp2 Erdownloaded "from Peters site the FSUIPC link"? What does that mean, please? You need to slow down and make a little sense please. You have not answered the question I asked before, i.e. "When you say "Have fixed FSX", what exactly do you mean?". There is absolutely no way I or anyone can help you unless you can find a way to explain yourself a little better. Sorry. This is driving me nuts anyother suggestions wil be welcome Other suggestions that the one I gave which you apparently ignored? First, did you not read where I said "Show me the FSUIPC Installation log -- you'll find it in the FSX Modules folder."? Did you also not read "See also the FSX Help announcement above for assistance in repairing the original SimConnect installation."? have repaired FSX from instalation discs And what does that mean? You can make your installation of FSX into such a mess that eventually your only solution will be to re-format your hard disk and reinstall Windows first! You should not mess about without knowing what you are doing! Regards Pete
