If I run FSX on a Desktop under Vista and FSCommander on my Laptop under XP can I use FSCommander even if FSX in running in Full screen?

What do I need to purchase to run this configuration is it just the full version of FSUIPC?

Yes.

No, you need to purchase and register WideFS7. You install FSUIPC4 in FSX and Wideclient.exe on the Client PC. You can register WideFS7 in the FSUIPC4 installer.

Hi Pete

Thanks for the clarification.

Will I also still be able to use GMAP from FSWidgets on my laptop as it also uses the SimConnect facility and works like a dream? I mean will it co-exist with WIDEFS without any problems?

Yes. As long as the Port specified in your SimConnect.CFG/XML files for us by GMAP isn't one of those used by WideFS (9002 and 8002 by default).

Hi Pete

Just wanted to say that everything seems to be working fine. I have FSCommander working remotely to my fsx via widefs and GMAP working on a second remote pc/monitor via its own simconnect configuration. I now have an awesome fsx system.

Thanks

John
