Lost macro assigments

Recommended Posts

Hi Peter;

I installed Leo Bodnar BU836x joystick interface and assigned 32 toggle switches to PMDG 378 (aircraft specific) using the overhead provided macro with fsuipc 3.85. Everything run well, toggles worked fine until i ended fs2004. Restarting fs and loading the 738 in cold and dark cockpit throught the default cessna the assigments were gone or not working. Can you advise me what do next. I supose that macro assigments should stick until one cleans up the fsuipc.ini file.

P.S. I only had BU836 interface connected when assigning the switches and during the assigment I cleaned the FS key and joystickassigments on the options menu, because while acting the ground power switch, it opened the kneeboard page along with the ground power on switch.

What does "loading the 738 in cold and dark cockpit throught the default cessna" mean?

Are you sure you did not simply assign the switches with "aircraft specific" selected, so they only apply to that specific model? A quick look at the FSUIPC.INI file's [buttons ...] sections would tell you. FSUIPC does not deliberately throw assignments away!

Regards

Pete
