ozayr Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Hi Piet, I have recently purchased the FSFlying School product but I am having trouble registering the product. I managed to install the "FS Flying School" product but for my FSX installation, I have to install FSUIPC4. FSUIPC4 requires a registration to be filled in, eg. Name: Ozayr Syed Email: ozayr.syed@gmail.com 12 digit registration Key: ?????????????? I was provided with the shipped cd that has a registration Information sticker. The info available on the sticker has three fields (with numbers, 8 digits each, totalling 24 digits) and below that, I have another registration key (20 digits and NOT 12 digits.) The the FSUIPC4 key requires a 12 DIGIT key to be entered. I have tried using these keys interchangeably but none worked. I have no idea of where to get this 12 digit key ?? Does the product purchased, suppose to include a 12 digit key on the sticker? Does it include the keys for WideFS7 and FSUIPC4? Thanks
Pete Dowson Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 I have recently purchased the FSFlying School product but I am having trouble registering the product. That is a matter for them, surely? I managed to install the "FS Flying School" product but for my FSX installation, I have to install FSUIPC4.FSUIPC4 requires a registration to be filled in, eg You do not need to register FSUIPC unless you want to use its features. I was provided with the shipped cd that has a registration Information sticker. The info available on the sticker has three fields (with numbers, 8 digits each, totalling 24 digits) and below that, I have another registration key (20 digits and NOT 12 digits.) That registration has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with FSUIPC. I have no idea of where to get this 12 digit key ?? If you want to buy FSUIPC you must go to SimMarket and purchase it. Does the product purchased, suppose to include a 12 digit key on the sticker?Does it include the keys for WideFS7 and FSUIPC4? No. You are evidently very confused. Doesn't the "FSFlying School" program come with any instructions at all? Don't they have their own support place for your questions? Pete
ozayr Posted April 26, 2009 Author Report Posted April 26, 2009 Hi Pete, thanks for all the confirmation. I'm a newbie to the whole flight sim environment, so excuse the ignorance to some of the questions, it's just that I expected a seamless install. I'm probably on the wrong forum here. After reading through the install doc and following the "directions" provided on the FSFlying school product, they made reference to this forum for any specific issues. This is why I have posted the issue on this forum. I'm presently taking this up with the suppliers, thanks

I know nothing about FSFlying School and I don't know anyone who does, so they are probably only referring to using FSUIPC, not their product. Pete
AndyT Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I use FSFS and in the manual it says that you do not need to register FSUIPC. They include it as part of the install but it is not a registered version. Just ignore the FSUIPC registration for FSFS. BUT, FSUIPC is well worth the addiditonal cost and I highly recommend it.
