View lock in 2D view Panning in 3D

Hi pete Just got my goflight TQ-6 back from repairs today and when connected it up an ran FS9, in the 2D panels all aircraft, I can only view forward and up. In 3D it the pans around the flight deck continusely. At first I thought I had assigned a key/button by accident but I have check my profiles both for general and specific aircraft and to know avail. I have deleted all axis assigments in FS9. So all commands run thru FSPUIC.

Now when I remove the FSUIPC.dill from the moduals folder FS9 is ok the view is forward and in 3D veiwing is normal and I can use my hat switch ok. But then I cant use the goflight hardware or anything else.

I am running registered version 3.911 I am wondering wether I should do a complete re-inhstall of FSUIPC? Any thought on the mater

FSUIPC does nothing you don't ask it to. So you have things programmed incorrectly somewhere.

That confirms even more that you have something assigned wrong. I suspect you are missing something in your checking.

Now when I remove the FSUIPC.dill from the moduals folder FS9 is ok the view is forward and in 3D veiwing is normal and I can use my hat switch ok. But then I cant use the goflight hardware or anything else.

Don't remove FSUIPC.DLL, only the FSUIPC.INI file (rename it FSUIPC.TXT, say), so when you reload FS everything reverts to default settings. This will prove that it isn't FSUIPC as such, but your settings.

Then you can add settings back from your saved version (FSUIPC.TXT) by cut and paste. Do it a little at a time till you find the cause. You can do this without having to reload FS -- keep both files open for editing and use the FSUIPC Buttons and Axes and Calibrations tab "reload" buttons to get them re-read each time.

Alternatively, leave the INI be and enable Button and Events logging. See the problems and check the logs to see which buttons or axes produce (or don't produce) the desired control events.

If you don't understand the log, show it to me.

I am running registered version 3.911 I am wondering wether I should do a complete re-inhstall of FSUIPC?

What is a "complete re-install"? There's only the FSUIPC.DLL, which won't change, and the INI file, for which see above.

Thanks Pete

and yes you were right it was a button conflict. It was near the top of the file so I did not have to spend to much time copying and pasting. My only other problem after I restored my ini file I now have to realod all the axis and button settings. As I fly about 5 different aircraft this is a pain because it will take time to sort out all the buttons and switches.

Now I have not made any changes to my ini file I only remove 1 line in the buttons section that was casuing the viewing problems. When I look at the ini file it seem to be all there here is a copy I will try a reload again and see if that helps but I think I am gona spend the next few hours assigining all my buttons and switcches

and yes you were right it was a button conflict. It was near the top of the file so I did not have to spend to much time copying and pasting.

Okay, that's good.

My only other problem after I restored my ini file I now have to realod all the axis and button settings. As I fly about 5 different aircraft this is a pain because it will take time to sort out all the buttons and switches.

I don't understand. If you found the problem and fixed it, as you say, why isn't the rest okay? Just correct the error in the original INI file copy and use that.

Now I have not made any changes to my ini file I only remove 1 line in the buttons section that was casuing the viewing problems. When I look at the ini file it seem to be all there here is a copy

I notice these in the [General] section:

so you are not making good use of the facilities in FSUIPC? Not using shorter names, not using Profiles? Have you, by any chance, made a file with default [General] settings, not used the settings you had originally?

I suspect you aren't using a corrected original INI, as you should, but the default INI without everything pasted back in.

Ok change the general settings to yes for profiles and substring but to know avail when I choose a profile any button I press is not showing a key board command. I did disconnect all usb devices earlier not sure if that has anything to do with why i cant get my profiles back I also did a reload of button and axis but that has not helped either. here is the current ini file and 1 profile

Ok change the general settings to yes for profiles and substring but to know avail

I still don't understand why, having found the problem, you have not simply corrected your original INI file and restored it as FSUIPC.INI in the Modules folder. You continue to make a lot more work by instead trying to adapt a default INI which you only did in order to find the problem!

Please do consider doing things the EASY way, that is fix your original INI.
