andrewuber
Hi there - First timer on this forum - so please be gentle!! I have been running FS9 with a PFC flight deck (throttles, yoke and rudders) for a few years now. I am a happy FSUIPC owner, and the hardware has been working great. Problem is - my old computer (built in 2005) finally died and I've been forced to move to a new machine. I am trying to set up my gear on the new computer (running Vista 64-bit). I tried to update my FSUIPC to version 4, but it asked for my registration info. After some digging, I found my original FSUIPC v3 registration email. I noticed in the Sim Market website it states that "UPGRADE ENTITLEMENT: WHEN ANY PREVIOUS VERSION PURCHASED AFTER JULY 1st 2007 ". My FSUIPC was purchased 9-27-07. I have all my registration data. How do I get a new serial number for this latest version of FSUIPC for FSX? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you, Drew
JSkorna
Hi, There is now an installer for FSUIPC4 that you run to install it. To register FSUIPC4, you purchase a new key from SimMarket. You cannot use your FSUIPC3 key in FSUIPC4. Thanks,
scott967
Well, the SimMarket product page says: UPGRADING FROM FSUIPC 3 or/and WIDEFS 6? If you purchased FSUIPC 3 or/and WIDEFS 6 after or on JULY 1st 2007, you are entitled to the special upgrade price of EUR12.00 (+VAT where applicable) only. NOTE: The special upgrade price will be awarded automatically, therefore you must be logged into your same account used to purchase the previous version! If in doubt contact simMarket support first! NO REFUNDS GIVEN! So my guess would be contact simMarket support. scott s. .
andrewuber
Thanks guys, I'll look into it with Sim Market. I don't really mind buying the new version if it comes to that. I just want my equipment to work! (soon!!) Drew
pschlute
You are aware 4 is for FSX ? It wasn't clear from your post.
andrewuber
Yes, I have installed FSX on the new machine. Update - FSUIPC 4 is working fine, throttle quadrant is working and most hardware is functioning normally. I will probably just buy a new registration from Sim Market. Thank you all for your help.
