richard hutchinson Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Hi Peter I have just purchased the full versions of both the above and when I run fsxpand it gives me an error message saying that the connection has failed. Whilst it may not be fsupic I thought I would ask the question to see if you are able to help and shed some light on the problem. I am running Vista 32bit on a quad core. FSX, FSUPIC and FSXPAND are all on this PC. I have disabled the nag screens and disabled (temporarily) all antivirus/windows defender in case this was causing it. I am running the free AVG 8.5 antivirus. The PC is connected to a wireless router, for outbound net access. Hope you can help - getting desperate to locate the error. Kind regards Richard PS: Thank you for a fantastic program!

Are you by any chance running either, but not both, of FSX and FSXPAND in elevated priority mode (i.e. "as administrator"). If so, they cannot talk to each other because of privilege protection. Can you please show me the complete FSUIPC4.LOG file from the FSX modules folder? Make sure FSX is not running first, please. Pete
