faycheung Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 I had a Dodger Viper NYPD car in FSX with cool light effects. After I downloaded FSUIPC4, the results were a dissappointment. The windshield, lamp glass, sirens(which should be made of glass and transparent) became all white(as if it was made out of cloth instead of glass). Will somebody, ANYBODY tell me what's wrong.
Andydigital Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Sounds to me like you have just upgraded to FSX SP2, many old odd items like that dont work correctly in FSX SP2 and require the textures be made compatible, or possibly you enabled "DX10 preview" mode and the same situation can arise with some add-ons.
Pete Dowson Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 I had a Dodger Viper NYPD car in FSX with cool light effects. After I downloaded FSUIPC4, the results were a dissappointment. You are mixing up two completely different things. FSUIPC4 can have no possibly influence on any textures, or any graphics whatsoever in fact. See the helpful hints from Andy. Pete
faycheung Posted July 27, 2009 Author Report Posted July 27, 2009 Thanks for replying guys, first I've got a crappy video card that can't run DX10. So, I can't download SP2 or Acceleration. Not only does my Viper fail, my Humvee, tower, Abram tank, Challenger tank, runway, taxiway, buildings in Mogadishu, my blue truck, my UN truck, myfire trucks, my U.S.S. New Jersey battle ship, my Nimizt carrier, my F/A-18 Super Hornet, EA-6B Prowler, Lexus, T-45 Goshawk V1.85, UKMIL Red Arrows Hawk, A-330, 747-400, UH-60L Black Hawk, HH-60H Sea Hawk, HH-60J Jayhawk, B-412, HH-60F Firehawk, HH-60G Pavehawk, H-53s, Su-27 Flanker, Ch-47 Chinook, Seaking... Some times the helicopters'(the Hawks and 412s) textures are are like a flat sheet(like this II), but FSUIPC4 made the inner textures move to the exterior, and exteriors to the interior. Like the screenshot. Some times the part should be black, but now it's white.
Pete Dowson Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 ... but FSUIPC4 made the inner textures move to the exterior, and exteriors to the interior. FSUIPC4 cannot possibly do anything to any textures or graphics, nothing whatseover! In fact without any program using it FSUIPC4 does nothing. It is an interface, it has no proactive parts operating by themselves. And it most certainly has no influence whatsoever on any graphical elements of FS. You must look elsewhere to solve your problems. Please stop posting here, you are wasting your time! Regards Pete
faycheung Posted July 27, 2009 Author Report Posted July 27, 2009 Thanks Pete, you've helped me a lot. OK case closed. Thanks guys. :)
